20,000 for Nancy's first match bodes well for the year. 10,000 season tickets were sold, so they should be sold out all year. Great news for Nancy and L1.

How in the hell does a newly promoted team completley crush one of the supposed best teams in the league ? Who needs Mario Jardel :)

I did not follow the match, but the team [Rennes  ] falls apart psychologically because of the previous traumas, and this performance won't help for the future. everytime they'll concede an early goal : "Oh no ! Not again !". From now on, they really need to stop the bloodshed even with scrappy 0-0 in order to kick this specter away.

Well, it certainly was a good day for the boys in white and red. As Pablo Correa said, our season began tonight. And just like that Nancy fly out of the "R" zone, and back into L1 for next year.
And Randy, I was getting hammered, that really cracked me up.
Seriously, I think Nancy's 0-4 start was worst looking than it was in reality, losing all 4 games by 1 goal in close match's. Tonight things probably looked better than they are in reality, but hey, we'll take it! :)

Holy crap. I saw the scoreline, and immediately assumed Rennes had the six goals. Then, I started seeing who scored.

It deserves to be said again. Holy crap.

Am I the only one who doesn't want Mario Jardel on Nancy? Washed up with serious psych problems. Kim and Kroupi looked pretty good last week, and with Curbelo coming off the bench, they don't need this troublemaker right now......

Good thing. Former superstars with damaged egos are the last thing you want in a team. In Strasbourg, we had the experience with Chilavert : expensive, brought a very poor atmosphere in the team, refused to learn a single word of french, publicly discussed every decision from the coach, and, at the very end, did nothing more than a decent professional goalkeeper could do.

Well, one point from the Metz derby is certainly dissapointing but not a dissaster. ASNL lie bottom of the table, ahead of Metz, and Strasbourg. I have trouble beleiving that Troyes and Le Mans are that much better than ASNL right now, we just need our luck to change. Next week it is on to St. Etienne, and a point there would be a great result.

Be afraid, be very afraid... :D Les Verts are hot and the Cauldron is boiling...

No matter what the result today, just keep in mind what Les Verts did last year (Slow start, then great run in the winter) to avoid the "R" word.

Well.... If nothing else we will have the 6-0 spanking against Rennes to hold on too. I still think that our results are not indicitive of the way we have been playing. Like I said before..... 1 point today and I'll be thrilled. ASNL has not really learned to play on the counter yet, hopefully it will come together today.

    Good news for Nancy:
    - Hellebuyck is suspended
    - eh... well... that's it...

    Bad news:
    - Everyone else is there
    - Tiene who replaces Hellebuyck might be even better
    - Les Verts haven given a goal in 1500 minutes of league play

Does Nancy have a good support? Only 50 fans made the trip to the Chaudron tonight!

Averaginig 18,000 per match. The stadium holds 20..... Nancy are dominating so far, Sarkisian causing ASSE all sorts of problems on the wings.

2-0 to Nancy! Sarkisian earns a great goal that he deserved all game. Now all we have is 20 minutes to close the game, and take our three points to the bank.
