What’s this? Another game, after just 2 days rest? And another MD thread from me? I guess that’s because we just managed to squeak out a win at Goodison.

So here comes the cup squad! Likely a close proximity to those who figured at Belgrade a week ago: a mix of veterans and youth. And Elneny as CB again???

A big question in my mind is the keeper: stick with Cech or throw Macey a bone? (not that I have a clue as to the lad's recent form or if he's even playing... in the reserves)

Tuesday's opposition are on a decent run of form, undefeated in the last 2 months, they sit 6th in the Championship. We have 1 defeat in that same timeframe, lying 5th in the EPL.

So, Norwich at home in the 4th Round of the League Cup... looks like a real banana-skin!

Play literally anyone. Pull Bully the pirate fan out of the stands and throw him on as the #9.

    Wenger on AMN

“Ainsley Maitland-Niles is likely to start against Norwich, but where? He’s played all over the place since breaking into the first team, and the boss admits that it’s both a blessing and a curse for the 20-year-old.

“The huge advantage of Maitland-Niles, and the disadvantage as well, is that he can play everywhere,” said Wenger. “Sometimes when you’re a manager, you use the comfort of being able to get him to play wherever you need him to. He can play on the flanks without any problem because he has pace, he’s an intelligent boy and I think he needs to add that little bit of extra force for 90 minutes. But he’s so comfortable on the ball, so quick, so good and can steal the ball too.

“He can also play central midfield, but I must say that he’s close now to being a regular in the first team as well. I would be on my toes if I was a regular player in the Arsenal first team. His preferred position is central midfield and that’s where I believe he will end up.”

If he’s good, he’s GOT to play over the DONKEYS we have been using (Khaka-El Nenny, Coq)

Macey's in! And if we get a lead, we might see some obscure benchies. Here's our squad:

    54 Macey
    02 M. Debuchy
    10 Wilshere
    12 Giroud
    14 Walcott (c)
    16 Holding
    17 Iwobi
    30 Maitland-Niles
    34 Coquelin
    35 Elneny
    61 Nelson

    Substitutes
    32 C. Akpom
    43 Dasilva
    62 Nketiah
    63 Osei-Tutu
    65 Sheaf
    69 Willock
    50 Iliev

ESPN3/WatchESPN: Anyone else getting this annoying cut-out every 5-20 seconds? It just lasts a second but it's unsettling and distracting.

Edit: I switched from Chrome to Edge and it seems much better!

MASSIVE amount of away supporters tonight. Filling up the whole lower Clock End? Looks like 8-10,000. Expect they'll be drowning out our youthful home fans quite a bit.
