Does anyone know why Ward has been constantly overlooked for Mignolet and Karius even tho neither of them have been really great ? You would think after his Huddersfield heroics he'de at least be given a chance. Strange
Klopp wanted to give him cup games - but by going out in the first round of the Carabo Cup - that hurt him. I really think we should have tried to loan him again this year to continue to get games - but I don't make the decisions obviously.
I think it is a waste of talent sadly ... another case is Grujic. He should be sent out on loan, I think he has a lot of potential. Harry Wilson is another, playing for the U23, he'de be better served at a championship side. It will be interesting to see what transpires this Jan window
One of those match ups that demand the best team (fab four) but who knows what goes on in the dark corners of Klopp's mind.
Previous three meetings… Liverpool 4 Arsenal 0, Premier League, 27th August 2017 Liverpool 3 Arsenal 1, Premier League, 4th March 2017 Arsenal 3 Liverpool 4, Premier League, 14th August 2016
Arsene Wenger expects that Olivier Giroud will miss Arsenal’s Christmas fixtures with a hamstring strain he picked up on Wednesday night’s 1-0 win over West Ham United. Giroud limped off in the second half after going down clutching his hamstring, and the French striker told Wenger afterwards that it felt like a bad injury. It will be assessed on Thursday afternoon but Wenger expects him to be out for three weeks, which would keep him out until 9 January.
don't think he'd be starting against us anyway. He came in at 60 mins in the earlier game and didn't do too much - though he is the type of target style player our CBs struggle with.
If we did, we would have used a completely different eleven then the one that faces Arsenal. It would have been good for players like Woodburn, Grujic, and Harry Wilson. Instead they may be looking for loan deals in January.
I agree he's unlikely to start but he is a very effective sub for them, scores late goals very often. I think he's their most reliable striker tbh given Sanchez's moodiness and Ozil's laziness.
Apparently Wenger has a plan to stop the front 4.... http://www.espn.com/soccer/arsenal/...n-emirates-mouse-problem-after-council-report
Hard to predict how this will go. Klopp has had their number the last few meetings and Wenger tends not to change his style for anyone. Our counter attack must be a fear for them and I just don't see how Arsenal cannot be prepared for that. I imagine Arsenal may edge the possession but we will be ready to strike quickly. I really hope we press them high and get possession at their end quickly. Should be a cracking match as both teams will want to attack and dominate midfield. Already nervous ...
Everton and WBA match mean this needs to be a win. I wonder if Arsene will make an adjustment? Hard to imagine at this point... ... but he did it to good effect away at City a few years ago!
Klopp on Ox before his Arse return. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...pp-hails-Oxlade-Chamberlain-unbelievable.html
He’s apparently injured at the moment. Nonetheless, it’s hard to fathom why Ward was kept at Liverpool this season. Klopp has stated that Wagner was extremely keen to have the player back at Huddersfield, which means that Ward could well have been getting PL experience in recent months. I find it difficult to see what the benefit has been for either the club or the player.
I wonder if Ox will start instead of Coutinho. Both are playing well and I wonder if both could start. Has Gini moved down on the totem pole?
Hard to drop Ox after he played so well - I could see Mane on the bench again Either way run at them and beat them with speed
