Wilshere goes down with a knee tweak, but he's going to try to run it off. Pray for him. Pray for us.

Edit: He's done. Make it 7 key players on our DL. Oh to be an Arsenal supporter.

Alex Iwobi WTF. We had 4-on-3, with probably our first chance in the 2nd half... 72' mark! And he seems not look at the ball as he lamely kicks it towards goal, and almost whiffs. Oy.

Fergie probably laughed a while after Wenger bought him.

10 mins to go. Still 0-0. Can we hold out? Or will the Arsenal Bus get a parking ticket?

Now that was an UGLY 0-0 draw. But a draw it was.

Now all we need is a score draw back out our place and we go through to Wembley.

And maybe at some point in the future we might start playing glorious footy again. :)

Edit: I got that backwards. A score draw favors them of course. With the away goals rule

Wouldn't a score draw go to extra time? And then still level, Chelsea would go through.

No actually I was wrong. Brain fart. A 0-0 goes to ET. We have to score more goals than them basically. Unless we're counting on PK's.

Correct. The away goals tiebreaker only comes into effect after extra time.

My fatigue level with Wilshere's injuries is at 11.

He has looked so promising so many times, but I don't believe he will ever be able to contribute more than a few games a season. Not sure he should be re-signed.

Wait and see with Wilshere. He was healthy all last season. He hasn't been hurt this season, has he?

If that's not evidence our physio dept/squad management is terrible I don't know what is. Our players are perpetually injured here, yet other places they make it fine.

IIRC Wenger wanted him on loan, was away for a charity match at the end of the window and when he returned Arsenal had bought him. Later that season he gave credit to whoever made the decision for the transfer. In his first two seasons at Arsenal he appeared to be decent squad player, ever since he returned from injury he just looks lost.

I believe he had a stress fracture at the end of last season, which is why he wasn't in game shape at the beginning of this season.

Health aside, Welbeck's not a bad signing. Yes, he's a limited player, but he's fantastic off the ball. For that fee? I can't be upset.

What I can be upset about is that Arsenal hoarded cash for years and then transfer fees skyrocketed.
