Jenks is not supremely talented, but I've always liked him and his attitude. And perhaps he's got a little more upside potential if you're being generous. I wouldn't mind keeping him as a squaddie.

And Laca with one his trademark bullheaded solo efforts and he puts this game away! (he even gets off the floor slightly reminiscent of Theo's famous goal)

    2-0! double phew

And Ramsey misses a free header from inside the 6, on what would've been a FIFA goal, set up by Laca & Guen!

And now Guen bravely goes into a 50/50 and comes out on the wrong side. We're out of subs so he may have to limp on if he can.

Man this last month or so has been brutal on the knocks & injuries front.

But ManUre is goin down to Burnley at OT. The Ole love story ends?

A poor match and a tough night but we come out on top, and put 3pts between our chasers.

    FT 2-1.

Edit: 2pts gap actually but I'll take it!

Whoops, spoke too soon. United pulled two goals back in the last 10 minutes, so now Dyche and his boys are holding on for dear life, and one point.

Point at OT is a great result for the all whites.

That was the softest penalty. I could only hate lingard more if he played for spurs.

    Reasonable win in difficult conditions

Thought Ozil looked bright at times - heavily involved especially before and after half time. It's clear he is trying to play if the half spaces and knit things together these days more than providing the final ball. Indeed the way Arse are trying to play, the final ball is going to come from a pull back.

Ozil is obviously nowhere near match fit.

Doozer has such potential. He could be the real thing when he is 23/24

I like that we played the diamond but it wasn’t played correctly due to a lack of width from the forwards, ozil coming too deep and no rwb as lich is terrible lol

We neney is not great as a dlp to start moves either, xhaka would be perfect there

Guen is showing elite passing into the space between cb and rb and making kol look good

it was all a bit crap because El Ninny is hot garbage

I think Doozy is just not ready to run a game so we do need Xhaka

Such a relief to see ozil out there against a physical opponent and doing a job if not quite his best.

People love warnock, but if he’d train his team to do more than take pot shots on every possession they would actually pose a threat. They had like 20 shots, almost none of which had a high value.

Tough game in tough conditions. Agree about douzi. He just needs to flesh out his game a bit. Could be that arteta 2.0 that we always needed.

RB is a huge issue for me.

I liked him as a squad player. But yeah, with all our central midfield options right now, he needs to be sold for whatever cash we can get.

Yep. But man (fingers crossed) Guendouzi's ceiling looks to be quite high.

Yep - for a 19 yr old it looks very promising

One wonders why Xhaka didn't figure in this game. Rest? Injury? Hard to imagine it was a tactical rotation.

Elneny's average position in 1T was as our central CB, in line with the other 2 CB's. Isn't that too deep for the base of the diamond? That's what threw me off in figuring out our back line setup.

That's a common tactic in possession, for a midfielder to drop between the center halves. Doesn't make it a back 3. When Cardiff had possession he was in midfield.

Well we got three points and that's about all that I can say about the game. I thought that was Doozey's best game in an Arsenal shirt where he played for 90. Ozil looked ok and made some nice passes, Iwobi made some nice runs. Job done and let's be grateful.

Guendouzi looks like he'll be really good: he needs to bulk up more, get rid of the ball faster, and play within himself more.

I'm quite on board the Guendouzi train. I just hope he keeps his "gamesmanship" to a minimum. Otherwise he's going to earn a reputation that won't serve him or us well.

He needs to shoot more as well

I’m seeing a kind of kdb vibe to his game?
