I think it is cool how BL teams play lower division teams in pre-season friendlies. Promotes and shows value to the link between all the levels. OSC Bremerhaven is 5th Level.
I personally don't see the point or value in clubbing these glorified rec league teams with 6+ goals.
It's cool for the players on the other team to experience that, and it also helps the bundesliga team work on a system where even if they mess up, they won't get punished.

Not to hikack this thread, but is there a Josh Sargent thread? From all reports he’s playing well in these last few preseason games.
Still hasn't played in a professional game for a club team, so his thread is located in the Yanks Abroad Academy section.
It's also like career day, some of the players who eventually make it to the BuLi start with the youth divisions of the little clubs, and it's a big motivator having their heroes visit, talk to them, sign shirts, take pics, etc. The whole thing is, at times, like a festival.

ArJo's nickname is Kevin Bacon. Bacon was in R.I.P.D. with Jeff Daniels. Daniels was in an even more obscure movie called Checking Out that featured a cameo by David Byrne of The Talking Heads. So in the immortal words of David Byrne, same as it ever was...
#Baumann on @aronjo20: "We're still waiting on an exact diagnosis which should come at the start or middle of next week." #werder pic.twitter.com/B7z6P8yA4Q— SV Werder Bremen EN (@werderbremen_en) July 20, 2018
looks like he's out for several weeks. And that this injury is both a negative when it comes to internal competition as well as one when it comes to potentially selling him off this Transfer window. Has a contract until 2019. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/.../artikel_johannsson-fehlt-mehrere-wochen.html
In germany you are not paid by your club when you are injured. It's like worker's comp in America where a 3rd party insurance company pays you a much smaller salary while you cannot work.
It really depends if he also got supplemental insurance apart from the standard one. If he did, then he would get full or close to full salary.
