Is that in the French sports papers ie L'Equipe ? If so it would be a decent move for him.And Alonso is already there to help settle him in.

There are rumours here still that Blackburn Rovers may try and outbid Monaco for him.

Many sources actually-- including the serious ones. It's Lucas Bernardi who helped to conclude the deal.

Considering the situation of the club, if Formica is a good player, he deserves better.

btw Sebastian Dubarbier has left to Tenerife in Spanish Secunda. :(

Better to move to France than Turkey (Galatasaray) or England (Blackburn). If the move is finalized, good luck. You got a nice creative, skilled player in your hands, but has a tendency to be a bit dissolute and unprofessional.

To Blackburn at the end. :D

Gourcuff, head coach of Lorient, explained that Dubarbier had difficulties to do a teamwork (which is essential when one play for Lorient). Problem with Argentinian players in France is that there are much spaces in the Primera Division and very few in the Ligue 1, which is not the better championship, but the most difficult.

    Mitigated year for our Argentinos.

    Barzola 6/20 doesn't play anymore.

    Sosa 7/20 doesn't play anymore.

    Bergessio 8/20 transfered to Catania.

    Dubarbier 8/20 to Tenerife.

Delgado 10/20 injured most of the time, he proved against Marseille that he could be a top-class player. His contract is ending, Lyon proposed 3 new years with a pay cut.

Alonso 11/20 moved from Monaco to Saint-Etienne this winter. Anonymous.

Lucho 12/20 he suffers of inadapted teammates and tactic. He's not good... yet he scored 8 goals for 5 assists.

Heinze 13/20 terrible as a LB, decent as CB, his experience and his winning spirit preciously helped Marseille not sinking. He's the best paid player of Ligue 1, he will probably leave (there's rumor about Juventus).

Civelli 14/20 one of the few good players of Nice. Good season.

Cetto 15/20 good season. Steady. Should go to a bigger club (Lille ?).

Lisandro 16/20 too often injured but 16 goals and 7 assists in 25 games. Definitely a top player.

I read somewhere Kambouaré never asked for him, is that right?

Kombouaré... he never dared dreaming of him rather. :D I think he didn't ask to have Messi, Berbatov or Sneijder either. A coach who had Luyindula and Camara for 2 years can only cry and yell "thank you President". Even if the pressure on his shoulders increases.

Cetto left to Palermo, Lucho is still leaving Marseille.

Not a good year for our Argentinos

LISANDRO the best as usual !! Lyon key player !

Pastore from excellent to mediocre, people tend to forget he's only 22 and see his cost. Good end of season.

Lucho back to Porto, too bad, I think the coach had no real idea of how to use him.

    Mareque, Monzon, Civelli not bad.

    The others were flying spirits.

Lavezzi to PSG. Fee in the mid to high twenties pounds sterling.

PSG also very keen on Higuain so we'll wait and see on that one.

Big hopes for the big name Lavezzi. (plus, "Ezequiel Lavezzi" sounds badass.)

    No Higuain, for sure.

Fabian Monzon joins Lyon. I'll summerize everything, as usual, when the transfer market is over.

    -Herrera looks a good player.
-I used to play with Cvitanich in my Banfield game on FM 2008 !
-I think Ocampos should have been loaned back to River so he could play at least in Argentina Primera before coming to France.

I'd like to put some light on Dario Cvitanich who just scored his 9th and 10th goals in 18 league matchs. He's very good this season (the 9th goal was a wonderful lob). Super Dario is back on the tracks and I hope he continues that way.

Cvitanich has no chance of coming near the seleccion. He wanted to turn out for Croatia but his ancestry was one generation removed from being able to qualify. Decent player though.

How is Monzon getting on Catel ?

Bad, I'm afraid, very bad. He didn't play the last matchs where he would have been needed. The coach prefers him a 19 yo CB from the club academy (who honestly I see as a near-future Equipe de France CB but maybe not this even strong as a LB). As he's very (too much ?) offensive, he played a few matchs as a winger, which is obviously not a position for him. I'm sad for him. His free kick and penalty skills can be very useful (he finished best scorer of Nice team last season !).

I'm saying myself that "everything goes very fast in football" and that everything can change in a matter of weeks or months.

Alejandro Alonso is forced to put an end to his career due to an ankylosing spondylitis.
He's 30 and has won the Juegos Paramericanos and the French League Cup, and played 160 matchs in his French career with Bordeaux, Monaco and St Etienne.

17th goal for Cvitanich !! 2nd best Argentinian scorer in Europe this season so far... He and his team are doing really great thanks to the coach ! I hope he ends called up with the selection, and stays at Nice to play in the new stadium next year.
