Ah I see. Thanks for the information. I would love to see Gaitan. Salvio and Aimar in the midfield and either of Jara/Saviola upfront.

Great learning experience for these kids in a great club .Better this route than sitting on a bench in Real Madrid for instance.

Garay looks like he is on his way out of Real.

Possible suitors include Schalke and Arsenal (London). He really has wasted two seasons there after a great season at Racing Santander.

Pablo Piatti has joined Valencia CF on a five year deal. Fee unknown. Good signing for them. Possible replacement for Mata ?

Not only for Valencia, but I think it's very good for Piatti too.

Atletico Madrid have offered the coaching role to their former player Diego Simeone to replace Gregorio Manzano.

Rather harsh on Racing the way he has left them in the lurch.

lol, that was typical Simeone there. He did the same thing when he was at Estudiantes to go to River.

You can't blame him, the lure of Atletico was always going to be too strong to turn down. Lets hope he does well, he is about the only young Argetine manager who has some pedigree at club level and also experience of managing in europe (at Catania).

I'm sure that at some point he will be the NT manager.

To tie up the last two posts Mauricio Pochettino is doing a splendid job with Espanyol. I would like to see him brought into the youth sides on a part time coaching basis with a view possibly to becoming manager of the seleccion at some time in the future.

Atletico's results have certainly improved under Diego although whether it turns out to be a permanent improvement is another matter.

Atletico's results picked up the moment Simeone took charge. Lets hope that continues. At some point he is going to manager of the NT, but in the meantime lets hope he does well in euorpe.

No no no ......:p It has to be Pochettino ! Seriously we need more young managers coming through along with getting people like Gareca into coaching the youth sides than some of the clowns that have been appointed recently.

Ideally it would have been great to have Pekerman and Tocalli back but that won't materialize now. :(

Pochettino has done well, (although Espanyol had a disaterous result against Mirandes, but those things happen), but Simeone has more achievments as a manager and of course he has vast experience as a player.

As for Pekerman, lets move on.

Diego Buonanotte has signed for CF Granada on a four year deal.

Sevilla who are really struggling for cash had agreed to sell Federico Fazio to Zenit St.Petersburg but the deal has collapsed following a breakdown over personal terms.
