Palacios has interest from Ajax and Leverkusen and apparently the German side reps are in town to finalize the deal.

Most of our forwards has reach double digits and scores multiple goals in CL.

Lautaro appearently has equalled Inter's record which held by Crespo, Eto and Vierri for scoring in 4 consecutive CL games.

Messi's looking great aswell, I mean not just the goal and assists but he's running and accelerated alot and should have won penalty aswell. Looks very involve on every play rather than being timid all the time.

Forgot about this one, yea he did once and he hit the post yesterday from similar angle. However, this was rather resulted from poor goalkeeping.

Hopefully to Ajax... would be great for him to play alongside Nico.

Don’t forget, Lisandro Martinez is also at Ajax, who apparently had a very good showing for them in the CL v Lille.

How is that possible when Ronaldo makes the coolest poses before he kicks?

Lisandro Martinez has been converted into a midfielder at Ajax. I can’t decide if this is a good or bad thing?

For most of this decade Argentina have struggled with top defenders. That said, there’s a wave of talented Argentinian defenders coming through at the moment (Nehuen Perez, Martinez Quarta, Romero). Midfield is still looking rather thin, there’s no one apart from Paredes to play the 6 position.

Sometime in the foreseeable future, I would like to see Argentina like up like this:

    Gazzaniga
    Foyth - Romero - Quarta - Tagliafico
Ocampos - Martinez - Palacios - De Paul
    Dybala - Martinez

The average age of this team is very young, which is very exciting.

I could be wrong but I believe Lisandro was in defense for that game v Lille.

But we seriously need to move away from Otamendi. Maybe the CA will be his last hurrah but we need to build for 2022 and we need to start at the qualifiers.

Also, Martinez’ character. Glad he’s around Nico, who is probably helping him out with the day to day life in a foreign country.

Pratto by name, prat by nature.

The u15 drew 1-1 with Ecuador and are more than likely to top their group and play Colombia in the semifinals.

Thomas Fretes scored the equalizer. An unusual story in one way moving to Corinthians a small boy and then playing regularly in the youth tournaments there before getting his contract with the Timao.

Fluent Portuguese speaker now but rejected approaches from the CBF to play for Brazil. He's a compact central midfielder with a big engine so to speak and decent shot.

Two more goals for Lautaro. Could’ve easily had a hat-trick.

Even though I am happy, Conte never rotates him. He plays every single game. Alexis Sanchez is out for a bit longer. My concern will be if Lautaro continues to have such a heavy workload, the last thing we need him is to come drained at the CA.

He's only 22 so baring bad injury or having weak muscles like Di Maria, I highly doubt he'd be tired unless he play up to 40+ matches. The likes of Aguero, Messi, Higuain used pressed and run alot back in their early to mid 20's.

He should have no trouble breaking 20 goals barrier this season. Meanwehile, Messi scored the winner against Atletico Madrid.

Perhaps you’re right but the less the games our guys players the better. If Inter fail to qualify for the second round of the CL, their entire focus will be on the scudetto.

Our forwards are doing it again, but perhaps, somebody like Lautaro can push us over the finish line. He’s quite special. Most of our forwards have been top-class this year. Last year, Dybala had a down year and so did Icardi, Kun was up and down and Messi was Messi but this year? Everybody is firing on all cylinders. Maybe...

We just got @cigar_city back and now you go and do this?

    Tsk tsk tsk.

Palacios to Leverkusen is all but done.
Martinez Quarta to Inter would be interesting.

    Scaloni on Paredes:

“Since we [the coaching staff] got here it is obvious that he is a player we like. At the moment he is hurting himself because he is not playing for his club and we would like him to have regular playing time. He has to improve certain aspects, mostly when the opposition has the ball, because when he has the ball he is one of the best in the world. We trust in him. I think Paredes has marking skills, the problem is that when he marks he commits fouls. I talked about it with him. He has to learn to control himself a little, to know when to be rough and when to play.”

He also explicitly highlighted Rodrigo De Paul as one of his favorites, also stating his admiration for Acuña, who he claimed is his “first sub” if he can’t find a spot for him within the starting eleven.

In terms of youngsters, Scaloni praised Palacios, Nico Dominguez, Nico Gonzalez, and Martinez Quarta, stating they have bright futures and will contribute a lot to the NT.

He also mentioned that they are keeping a close eye on Enzo Perez (who had a hell of a year) and Nacho Fernandez, claiming they are very important players who could easily play for the NT. However, he also made it very clear that he has maintained a base since assuming as coach nearly 2 years ago and isn’t expecting to make any big changes to the roster before CA.

So we are playing in the Copa 2020 in this order: Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Australia, Bolivia. Hard games in the first few games.

Alessandro Altobelli (ex-Inter) "As for the Lautaro Martinez comparisons to Il Fenomeno Ronaldo, today only Messi is better than Lautaro Martinez. Inter must not sell Lautaro for anything less than €250 million, he is better than Neymar." [la repubblica]

Fun fact, without counting shootout, Chile has not beaten Argentina in last 8 meets.

It's good to get the hard games out of the way early I think. Puts the team in the right frame of mind. Though I guess ideal would be one hard game in the beginning and one in the end just before the knockouts.

So, it appears that Lo Celso wants out of Tottenham. He is not happy about not getting playing time. He could possibly leave in January, perhaps on loan or whatever the case may be.

Also, after letting in a soft goal from the near post, Gazzaniga has played well since, making a couple big saves.

I still find it strange that we need to play 8 matches to be able to lift the trophy. The World Cup is 7 and the CA in recent memory has been 6. Hopefully, we win our games early, so we can give our starters a break in the last couple group matches. Ridiculous that there are 5 group matches. Also, we need to finish in the top 2 in the group stages to remain at home until the final, which I kinda like, no additional pressure having to play at home in the final, that is if we get there.

I think it's all about the $$$ as more games brings in $. Probably why they made one more Copa America, even though Conmebol could have just easily moved the CA 19 to 2020.

Playing more games means we need to start the tournament with a win, or we will have to keep playing our key players in all group games. Its thougher than Brazil's group but only 2 teams out of 6 will be eliminated and I dont see us finish outside the top 3.
