Nothing wrong with it, but in all my time here, I've seen posts on a lot of topics, but I don't think I've ever seen a post espousing support or equal rights for the LGBTQ community. Now it could be, that like a good IC, those things go without saying, since all people deserve universal human dignity, but it just doesn't seem like the kind of hill you'd die on. Now once you start talking about drones, Yemen, and why third party voters are directly responsible for Little Lyin' Man and the mess that took 2 years to create and will take at least 50 to undo, well, that's another matter....
Didn't Trump's transgender military ban go into efffect a few months ago? So no. Especially rich since they want to serve and Orange Fvckface dodged 'Nam with a fake medical diagnosis.
Fair point. But even in states that ban gay marriage the gays can marry someone of the opposite sex. And let me go on the record, I support gay marriage. I think the gays have the right to be just as miserable as the rest of Americans.
No state bans gay marriage. That'd be unconstitutional. They do ban them from adoption, serving in the military, donating blood, denying citizenship of children from same sex couples, and some other stuff I'm sure I dont remember.
You just put ridiculous restrictions on it like abortion. Your officiating minister must have the right to preach at every mosque in the state.
Suadi women will now get texts that their husband's divorcing them. Before men could get secret divorces hosing the wife out of her fair share.
I am pretty sure that the "pursuit of happiness" is not actionable in a court of law. It is in the Declaration of Independence, not the Constitution. Also, not being told "No" is not the same thing as it being a right. Actually, for people who are not documented, the government can and does say that.
No, I'm not. I watched at least two different posters in two threads ask him if he lost a bet. Why would that be unless they just couldn't believe he was in support of the rights of the people the flag represents? So no, I'm not wrong.
Of course not. Please go to https://beyondido.org/ for details. Equal rights for the LGBTQ+ community is not not even close. In 30 or more states, gay people can be denied housing, fired, denied public services, and other forms of open and blatant discrimination, in addition to the issues @ElNaranja elucidated.
Well, on one hand you quoted the post replying to me, and I made so such accusations. On the other hand, you seemed to indicate everybody by using the plural "you." On the third hand, speaking only for me, the response you and Timon gave indicate that I was trying to pigeon-hole him because of an avatar, ignoring that it could (must!) have been anything other than curiosity.
Let's go to the tape: It's only odd if it's based on some assumption or preconceived notion, is it not? Just because you say "not making an assumption" directly after making one, doesn't negate that you did.
It's just weird because you normally don't seem to care at all about anyone other than yourself. I mean, don't get me wrong, I think it's cool. It just caught me off guard.
Caring about individual liberty means you care about everyone. I find that it is liberals that only seem to care about themselves. Ask not what the you can do for your country, ask what the country can do for you.
