I thought it was because all those lazy parasites went on strike and the Patron Saint of Dog Whistling Voodoo Economics had no choice but to fire them all and replace them with inexperienced do-nothings who were just happy to have a job.
Back in 1994, I think, right before the WC, when Chris Armas was starting to make a name for himself, he was doing some PR thingy at a local soccer shop for the WC. I needed a new pair of shin pads, and he gave me some shit for being pansy. I responded something about just in case I ended playing against him. He chuckled, but I always remembered that because he was so approachable, just wandering around the store. Also bumped into Cobi Jones several times in Old Town Pasadena after a match out having a drink.
My wife said the same yesterday. "Say what you like about AOC, but boy does she work hard." (And she is not otherwise a fan, being a mainstream Democrat, not a progressive.) It stands out.
I just saw this thread and thought, this looks an interesting one to watch... Then I flipped to the last page to see where we'd got to and saw... Is it just me or have we gone slightly off the rails on this one?
Na, it's just that this thread is 37 pages, and things are bound to be talked about other than AOC specifically. Like music comes up often, as does AUFC, and 80s movies, and SEC football.
What the hell does this mean? What the hell do these two people have to do with each other? The picture of Elon Musk is from September, before Rep. Ocasio-Cortez was even elected. Yesterday, I wondered aloud if you had simply become a troll. I think I have my answer (and, yes, my posting this means that I took the bait).
It's a bad pun and to an extent, sexist. We don't share the same sense of humor with ICs. And the waitress is practicing politics As the businessmen slowly get stoned Yes, they're sharing a drink they call loneliness But it's better than drinkin' alone Sing us a song you're the piano man Sing us a song tonight Well we're all in the mood for a melody And you got us feeling alright
