Yep even though I can’t believe USWNT won it all, I’m going though something that feels like depression.

I am watching the UEFA U-19 finals for two weeks, then the pre-season friendlies, football never stops...

Not the same thing: WWC is a special event, not just "football".

How can I have withdrawal when the media won't stop talking about Rapinoe?

Ok, you live in USA. We had our share of Rapinoe-talking here in Europe also, but it was quite few and far between, and now it basically stopped at all.

Yeah the Rapinoe stuff exist but not as much in England or in France...

Yesterday I watched the USWNT 2011 quarterfinal match vs Brazil. Epic.

I had the following, all interleaved, from late May to mid-July:

    - FIFA WC-20
    - NBA playoffs
    - FIVB VNL-w, VNL-m
    - FIFA WWC
    - CONCACAF Gold Cup
    - NORCECA Pan Am Cup-w
    - FIVB WWCh-20 (1st round)

... and suddenly, they're all over. Today is a rest day before the 2nd round ;)

Back to my calisthenics! (Fingertip push-ups, to prep for the next pbp)

    Yes.

I love the world cup, both men and women, and I build my life around them for that month in the summer.

It always takes me a while to regain my equilibrium.

@Val1, try to stick around here a little anyway: it bugs me that I only manage to meet you once every 4 years! :p

You know, that's the same thought I have, my friend.

    Cheers!
