Any US channels showing African Nations Cup?

    Hi

    Does anyone know if any US channels are showing any of the African Nations Cup games. Or is that too much too hope for ;)

    If you have digital comcast in Washington DC area, you can get the games on the Nigerian station, NTA, channel 278.

    why is it so freaking hard to watch this tournament?

    I think that you can watch Aljazeera Sport now in USA. But don't know if there are all 10 channels cause they will only show it on +9 and +10 channels. They have also english commentator.

    AlJazeera Sport 9 and 10 are not available in North America. But there is an alternative. There is one channel broadcasting the African Cup of Nations 2010. It is a Malian channel called "ORTM" available FTA on Galaxy 19 satellite. More info here: http://www.lyngsat.com/galaxy19.html

    Because CAF is run by a bunch of small minded morons. I don't think they even realize that there's more interest worldwide in this tournament than any international competition other than the World Cup and Euros. They're soccer executives. You'd at least think they'd understand money.

    Games are blacked out on ORTM and RTS on 97W for some reason? You can watch the pre game and line ups but they shut off feed at the kick off?
    I was able to watch the Mozambique Benin game on tele anacaona yesterday.

    Don't know if anyone from the US remembers, but Fox Soccer Channel was supposed to show it in 2000. I rushed home from work to catch the opening match, only to find out they'd cancelled it at the last minute.

    I don't expect to ever see it on US TV.
