I really hope that we give him a call up for this game in Portugal. May not be able to cap-tie but with our LB problems we should bring him in. Plus he's young and his loan is up in January I think. He could be getting Premier League mins soon just because Everton may be looking for answers from everywhere they could possible get them.

I don't think he's ever going to be in England's picture, which might be good for the United States.

England's youth national teams have had a banner year with loads of top prospects.

I didn't even think about it like that but you are right with their youth killing it and him already having been in our youth system a little they probably won't bother with him unless he just goes off and starts playing like a world beater ASAP.

I guess the question we should be asking is if/when are we gonna give him a chance?

If he's still playing first team soccer in 2018, I would be surprised if he's not given at least a look with the US U-23 team which might begin extended Olympic preparations next summer.

It's been a depressing year for US Soccer but I actually think the US youth teams are functioning well. The U-20 and U-17 teams have played well and the U-18 and U-19 teams have built up depth. But there is still a lack of fullback options on either side.

I am still not a believer that Tyler Adams is going to stay at right back or right wingback despite him playing well there for New York. I also am not sold on Danny Acosta's ceiling despite nice progress there for RSL. If Brooks Lennon is going to convert to RB, he better do it soon. Sergino Dest looked solid for the U-17s but he's still extremely young. Fossey needs to get healthy and get first team minutes for Fulham. Cannon needs to make strides at Dallas in 2018.

At both RB and LB there are openings for the US U-23 team. LB is typically always open for the USMNT.

It would be a huge miss if the U-23 team doesn't look at him next year.

Boy does he look fast. Good cross too to find his teammate.

Bolton manager Phil Parkinson after the game

“I thought Antonee Robinson showed some fantastic athleticism down the left-hand side and put in a great cross where Karl Henry has come in around the back and finished really well. Special mention for Antonee Robinson tonight, his performance was really good and he saw off two very good opposition players.”

I think he deserves a look for the upcoming friendly (if he accepts of course).

We have no room to be picky at LB. Who else under the age of 23, other than Danny Acosta, is playing at his level right now? I've not seen him play once but I don't have to, he deserves a look very soon.

He is number 15 and playing LB. This game is very choppy, not much strategy or flair.

So far my impression of the kid is RAW very raw, but then, the whole team is raw. Sometimes players play according to their league, maybe he can play more under control and purpose if put in the right team. From what I'm seen, I think Adams would make a better LB.

Nice shielding by Robinson. There is no combination, I see too much, get possession and send it downfield from both teams.
These teams compared to Benfica B team is like night and day.

After helping Bolton get a clean sheet, Robinson has gone the full 90 the last 3 games, during which time they are 1-0-2 and allowed 4 goals.

That may not sound great, but Bolton only had 7 points thru the first 14 games so this form with him in the first XI is definitely an improvement. Hopefully he continues to get starts and Wanderers are able to get a couple more points to leapfrog out of the relegation zone.

And if he keeps starting, I'd have no problems with the US giving him a look at the first international break next year.

I don't think Robinson is ready for an NT invite, his game is below the current standard of our NT. I want the kid to succeed because we need a LB badly but he is just not ready :-(
