Guys this is a little bit of an overreaction. A 15 minute cameo that doesn't cap you is ultimately meaningless. It's possible that Bolton/Robinson didn't want him to play at all in the friendly, but wanted him to have the opportunity to train and get integrated into the set up. Maybe he picked up a knock pregame. Maybe he just didn't get picked.

Either way while disappointing, it has a very small effect on his future international career.

Ended 2-2 as Barnsley got a stoppage time equalizer.

    Robinson went the distance.

Bolton sit two points above the last relegation spot currently occupied by Barnsley.

I really wanna see this guy in some friendlies. Villafana is a nice place holder player and can get into attack well but he does have times where he can get beat by pace. Robinson has that pace to keep up with players.

Started as Bolton miraculously survived relegation. He was very active in crossing/passing according to their Twitter account.

Transfermrkt shows Baines’ signed through the end of the 2019 season. We thinking it’s possible for Robinson to share time with Baines to see if he can take over the job in 2020?

You would think, at the least, Everton would take a look this Summer. The problem for all young players in England is the clubs are just awash in money. They can buy any player for any position. That is why top English teenagers are actually playing in Germany and other leagues. I think the worse that happens to Robinson is another loan to the Championship, but probably to a better club. I'm sure Bolton would love to have him again, but I don't think they will be in a position to be good for awhile.

A certain Left Back's GF just was on Twitter trying to sell a vacation trip that she was taking to Cancun 5/16-5/28. I wonder why she would change her travel plans?

His loan was over. Maybe it was time to move from a Championship GF to a Premier League GF. ;) :D

I find the discussion of his play against Bolivia fascinating. Many posters praise his pace...but he was twice beaten for pace in the first half.

Usually when everyone thinks one thing and I think something else, they are right and I am wrong. So let me ask here.

How is his pace for a wide player? I thought it was OK but nothing special.

Full disclosure, was drinking heavily during the match....
But he looked fast to me. Good recovery speed. From what I remember, the only times he maybe didn't seem as pacey or if he got beat it seemed like it was due to poor positioning.

He looked fast to me. There were a couple times when he wasn't goal side of his man, and when the ball got played behind him, he closed that yard or two his man had on him like nothing. He also had one run up the line in the 1st half (I think) where I kept thinking he let the ball get away from him a bit, but he kept finding little bursts of acceleration to get the ball and knock it past the oncoming defender.

I'm fine pumping the brakes on his hype, though. I remember being excited by Garza and Villafana in early friendly appearances against poor opponents too. If he gets minutes in really any of the upcoming friendlies this year (they all seem to be pretty good competition), we'll know more.

I don't recall him beaten for pace, but I do recall him twice letting his opponent get in behind him. It wasn't for lack of pace though, and in one instance his pace allowed him to recover.

To me it feels like a stretch, at least this coming season.
