Robinson sent in the cross which lead to the Bolton goal (0:49).

His man beats him to the back post on the Ipswich goal (1:32).

@bungadiri Antonee Robinson at Bolton (on loan from Everton)

Goes 90, in a 1-0 win over a good Bristol City club in the mix for the promotion playoff.

He made a pass to a forward in his own that led to the goal, though only the NHL would call that an assist because the forward basically went on a long run and then hit a great shot.

What is impressive is Ameobi outruns the whole Bristol team. But Robinson, starting 15 yards behind him and turned towards goal when he makes the pass, has to slow up to stay even with Ameobi at the other end of the field.

And picks up his 4th assist of the season Bolton's equalizer.

Antonee had the flick on, but what a brilliant strike from Le Fondre.

Do we have a better LB prospect, save Danny Acosta at RSL? I would not be mad if Robinson started getting called up to NT camps. Hope he can find a permanent move away from Everton to a team in the bottom half of the PL/top half of the Championship for him to continue to develop.

Wanderers lose 2-0. Antonee goes 90.

Bolton really could use an infusion of offense. Hard to believe a couple of young guys like, say, Emerson Hyndman and Lyndon Gooch couldn't help. But I don't want to get off topic.

But that's Bolton's problem. Bottom line is this loan is serving its exact purpose for us. He's got over 20 starts and he still has 2.5 months left in this season. He should end up with about 30 starts and green will no longer be something that can accurately be said about him.

Oh, and if he isn't in Cary at the end March Imma make a scene!

I'm not sure Acosta is a better prospect whatsoever. Only one I'd say has a higher ceiling right now is Bello, but he's so raw and far out that who knows, and if Robinson's highest level is high Championship to low EPL, he'll still be getting a heck of a lot of caps.

I'd say we have a surprising amount of continuity in pro prospects coming out every year ('97 Robinson, '97 Acosta, '98 Farfan, '99 Real, '00 Gloster, '02 Bello), and that's only pure lefties. Dest, Watts, Xuxuh, and Scally have all played LB for YNTs. Considering our track record of producing left backs, that's damn good.

I'm old enough to remember when everyone was all ginned up about having Juan Pablo Ocegueda, Sean Cunningham, and Danny Potts in the same U20 cycle.

The good news is that even if Robinson and Acosta don't turn out to be USMNT players, they are already more advanced than those guys ever were. Also, they are also more American than Danny Potts. It's not right to talk about how dual nationals "aren't American" but it's fair game when it turns out they aren't actually eligible for citizenship!

I believe Taylor was suppose to be the first choice LB this season for Bolton. Robinson has been better and Taylor has missed most of the games injured. But he still gets selected whenever healthy. Robinson is young and played far more than expected already. Rotating the two would probably be good for AR.

Kid has played a ton, 2,411 minutes of competitive soccer this year. He played 1,587 minutes last year in the Prem 2. Only played a handful of games the two years before that because of injuries. He hasn't looked explosive lately and is probably fatigued in his first serious league season. Especially since he just played 90 on Saturday. Championship schedule is brutal.

Three in a row doesn’t seem like a rest. Did someone take his spot?

Confirmed. Robinson was included in the roster for the Paraguay match which was just released. Congrats to Robinson! Big opportunity with a young roster.

Congrats to Robinson, but hopefully he doesn’t show up to Rochester for the friendly.
