    AFAIK, this is the only example found. Was it unique, or did other copies vanish through war & the collapse of civilizations, without a trace?

    This is an informative article to aware its reader properly. This is the largest piece of the Antikythera Mechanism, which is on display at the National Archaeological Museum in Athens, Greece. web link
