Seems like Allison cancelled his trial with Landskrona since he felt that he wasn't fit enough to do himself justice. He will at least start the season with Härnösand, the team he played with last year, but will be looking to make a move to a higher level during the year.
I missed this earlier but when the club announced that Allison will stay with them for the start of the season they also announced that their other american Abdul Bangura will not be part of the team this year.
Fotbolly.se report that Allison has suddenly left Härnösand. The story is a bit confusing as it indicates that the club was very surprised by this move and I'm not sure how he can leave with a contract in place. The article does say that he has a clause so that he can leave if an Allsvenskan or Superettan club wants to sign him but that doesn't appear to be the case here. Instead they write that Allison will once again go on trial, this time with third tier club Umeå FC where fellow americans Charles Renken and Aubrey Perry are also trialing.
Well, after alot of back and forth this silly season Allison finally gets his move up one division and will be playing in the third tier with Umeå FC this year. The contract signed is for two years and I think it's pretty likely that Umeå will be one of the clubs fighting for promotion. The manager says that the club has been looking for a player with Allisons specific abilities and that his speed will be a big threat against most teams.
He got off to a great start in his first league game for Umeå FC this weekend. He assisted on the first goal and scored the second as his team won a difficult away game 2-0. And since he has now moved up into a reasonably high level there is also a post game video interview available:
With the season being over now for Härnösand Bangura will be trialing with Superettan club Jönköpings Södra.
In a recent interview Allison talks about having to start alot of the games this year on the bench compared to previous seasons where he dominated in lower divisions. He has also been playing on the wing alot compared to center forward earlier.
Umeå FC announces on their website that the club and Allison has reached a mutual agreement to end his contract early.
Abdul Bangura appears to be on the NASL Silverbacks roster now: http://www.atlantasilverbacksfc.com/team/roster I see at least two other former YAs on that roster in Carrillo and Carr. Obviously they should look for a third with the name of Illo. That is a bad joke. You're welcome.
Allison is on his way to Frånö SK in the swedish 5th tier league. Very surprising transfer as it's way below his level imo and he'll probably score 20+ goals on a normal season there. http://www.allehanda.se/fotboll/div-3-herr/franos-varvningsbomb
As predicted he did end up scoring 25 goals and became the best overall goalscorer for all fifth tier leagues. He will now be moving back up a step again after signing with Sandvikens IF where he might pair up with fellow american Seth Rudolph in their attack.
Allison has returned to the Philadelphia area and is in the Union's preseason camp. Due to its lack of forwards and international roster spots, he has a chance to make the team as a depth player.
I spotted him winning all conference in the NPSL. Scored 11 goals. Oh the memories! https://www.philadelphialonestarfc.com/first-team/
