This is the same media that will find the rap sheet on any darker person, or that will interview the cop that shot her/him saying how scary he/she was "scary and out of control"... White guys are by default innocent and/or misunderstood... Gonna give y'all some media/PR game: - They filmed him from above to make him look smaller.- His clothes are a little big.- The lighting makes his face look like Shirley Temple.Malcolm said the media will make you hate the oppressed and love the oppressor. Peep game. https://t.co/BBynd47W6x— Torraine Walker (@TorraineWalker) January 23, 2019
This is where the social media left loses the plot, media are saying that what the kids did was racist, the chants towards native americans are being called racist by all main media except fox news. What has changed is the narrative that it was the high school students that went after the Native Americans and got in their faces, the truth is that it was the other way around, that is all that has changed. the part of the BHI is also factual, left social media may say it does not matter and that is fine, but it is a fact that it happens, or is left social media disputing that it happened? Nobody (I should not say nobody, there is always dumb people) outside fox news is saying that excuses the racist response from the high schoolers.
I don't know why you have become so much of a media apologist of lately. Are you hoping to get a gig with NBC or something?
It would be nice. Is good to call out the media when they do something stupid. Calling them out because they correct themselves on a story when the facts come out is not good IMO. My beef is about the use of social media to carry out a narrative that fits in the political pre-consigved notions of the people sharing it. The outrage machine gets on overdrive before the facts come out, and when facts do come out, it does not matter because people have already made up their mind. In worse case scenarios they end up shooting pizzerias because of social media bull shit. Tweeter has suspended the account of the Brazilian that started the spread of the story. https://m.cnn.com/en/article/h_4ba70c916db93257d99edfbf109f61ee This time it is not the Russians, but the Brazilians.
Richard Jewel Duke Lacrosse Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity at UVA not much default innocence for them (and the were all innocent), more like a witch hunt. Most of the media is just plain shit these days.
Once again it's interesting that the issue is a particular account that was not even the first to promote that is at issue and not the content. It's also telling that the counter-narrative push is still ignored by the poster yet it is actively promoted.

"Turmoil in Dem Primary" When the media presents Democrats having policy discussions on important issues as "turmoil in Dem primary" there's a major problem with the media. Why can't the chryon just say: 'Dems talk Medicare for All, healthcare options'No need for drama! pic.twitter.com/gjXXWgemL5— Lis Power (@LisPower1) January 29, 2019
Actually it will be worse than that -- not whether reporters like them, but pronouncements about how voters will perceive their likability, brought to you by the people who keep interviewing Trump supporters in diners— Paul Krugman (@paulkrugman) January 30, 2019
I’m not going to link to it, but CNN literally has an article on their website asking if God really wants Trump to be POTUS. What kind of backwards solipsistic moronic theology even ASKS such a question? A God who intervened in world affairs in such a situation but does not intervene to prevent World War II and all its attendant horrors is ridiculously arbitrary if not frivolous. It’s basically a self refuting question...a God who would decide who is the American President but includes childhood cancer in His creation is no God in the Judeo-Christian sense.
Details changes the polling results according to the Kaiser Family Foundation https://www.apnews.com/4516833e7fb644c9aa8bcc11048b2169 https://www.kff.org/slideshow/publi...ns-and-expanding-access-to-medicare-coverage/
Well actually, the point of my post wasn't about M4A, it was about how the media portrayed it as "Dems in disarray."
Political democrats or the electorate? https://www.theatlantic.com/politic...ould-be-test-medicare-alls-popularity/581746/ http://nymag.com/intelligencer/2019/02/do-democrats-really-want-medicare-for-all.html
BTW, on an article that I can not find, I saw that a congressperson will send a single payer plan to the CBO to be scored, so we will have more details on the cost of this (I am not sure if it was a medicare for all expansion plan or something else). or maybe not? a bit of a bias source, https://thehill.com/blogs/congress-...ere-really-a-bargain-supporters-like-rep-john
Here is my question from this speech. Is this a Bill Shine remaking of Trump? And will it stick? Stuff like "We have not yet begun to dream" "The bonds of love and loyalty and memory"— Eric Lipton (@EricLiptonNYT) February 6, 2019
"True" FACT CHECK: Pres. Trump claims that “Tens of thousands of innocent Americans are killed by lethal drugs that cross our border and flood into our cities.” https://t.co/3eMaCyPJRG #SOTU pic.twitter.com/191LfiPK0V— ABC News (@ABC) February 6, 2019 They forget that drugs usually don't arrive through the points were Trump wants to build a wall, and that fentanyl arrives mostly through ports of entry.
