Another example of the media's conservative bias - ABC's catch and kill of the Epstein story. As Jim Treacher noted 5 years ago: "Modern journalism is all about deciding which facts the public shouldn't know because they might reflect badly on Democrats."
So Trump is lying on FB but it's OK because they're paying Suckerbarf.. New Trump Facebook ad: "The far left knows that they have NO CHANCE of defeating President Trump in 2020, so they’ve resorted to violence to try to silence the MILLIONS of American Patriots who voted for him." pic.twitter.com/hbtQFfy28T— Judd Legum (@JuddLegum) November 6, 2019 I like your idea but I would like to see your plan, Kurt... When there is violence against peaceful democrats when deluded Trumpers react to these false statements, @facebook should be sued out of existence.— Kurt Eichenwald (@kurteichenwald) November 6, 2019
Plus Trump gets all that free advertisement when people get triggered by the adds, and then quote and post the adds in other social platforms, it is advertisement that goes viral. He is going to have close to a billion dollars of cash available after the Primaries are over, he is going to bombard social media with attack adds, and then his fans and his haters are going to share all his adds and give him a huge multiplier on those adds.
On the facebook ads, like it or not, facebook is on legit legal ground, but they may change policy with popular pressure. https://www.economist.com/united-st...acebook-run-political-adverts-containing-lies
Many political journalists will set the bar so high for theatrics, zingy soundbites, and dramatic new revelations that next week's impeachment hearings -- which will likely build a ruinous case against Trump -- could nevertheless be judged a failure. https://t.co/p04kR2YA7Q— Dan Froomkin (PressWatchers.org) (@froomkin) November 7, 2019
And yet they will say Trump is acting "Presidential" when he shows up at a formal occasion and somehow does not whip out his tiny wang and piss all over the carpet...
I have not heard the press call Trump "Presidential" in quite a while. I think that ship has finally sailed.
The next time CNN asks Elizabeth Warren how she is going to pay for something she should just be like: “If I tell you Mexico will pay for it will you give it 32 hours of free airtime per month?”— Conor Rogers (@conorjrogers) November 8, 2019
Gee, @facebook, you might want to start with Breitbart, who published the alleged name AFTER YOU NAMED THEM AS A TRUSTED NEWS SOURCE YOU IDIOTS!!! https://t.co/yXdAfLC7cZ— Sleeping Giants (@slpng_giants) November 8, 2019
Yes Reuters, that's what Democrats are aiming for here, a good Reality TV Show: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...t-hearings-begin-without-a-bang-idUSKBN1XO059 WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democratic lawmakers tried their hand at reality television with mixed results on Wednesday as they presented arguments to the American public for the impeachment of a former star of the genre, Donald Trump. Unlike the best reality TV shows - not to mention the Trump presidency itself - fireworks and explosive moments were scarce, however. Democrats need the hearings to resonate with the broader American public to gain support for a process that could lead to the impeachment and removal of the Republican commander-in-chief. Through hours of testimony and questioning that aired live on U.S. broadcast and cable networks, the proceedings were rather staid, with only the occasional raised voice or snippy retort. To the president’s son, Eric Trump, it was a big yawn. To go back to soccer analogies, that's the equivalent of having City playing Wolves, City pushing all the attacking, and Wolves hacking, fouling and wasting time to a halftime draw that should have been a 3-0 (referee missing two clear handballs), and the commentators complaining that City is not offering a good spectacle. Why do CNN let her get away with this? Here's Kellyanne Conway on CNN casually admitting that Trump is violating the Constitution pic.twitter.com/dKUNSli6Df— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) November 14, 2019
While Trump gets almost everything wrong, including his reasoning on CNN's terribleness, he is absolutely right that it's a cesspool - what he's most wrong about though is how overly friendly it is to him and his merry band of sycophant grifters. How George Conway's old lady is still allowed on any television shows at all, let alone news shows, is a complete mystery to me - but they keep on booking her.
There is not supposed to be a goddamned "bang." It is an impeachment inquiry, not Temptation Island. Who gives a rat's as whether or not Eric f'n Trump was entertained or not.
Probably right based on how much I know about each host. Wonder what the Fox News/Trump positive coverage looks like
"Redefined" is the politest way ever to say "pissed all over, dragged through a sewage dump and criminalized" Good for you for being so considerate!
