How is that like the Holocaust?

    Wait.

Well, actually, how is that like the Holocaust?

    Good grief.

LOL! I once had a drinking session with a German and a South African, and we were comparing whose country had the worst record of subjugating a minority group of their own citizens.

After all, the Germans tried to wipe out a significant section of their population,a religious and cultural minority. The white South Africans came from a different continent and stole the land from the people who were already there, made them second-class citizens and a permanent underclass. Pretty horrible stuff by any account, right?

Buncha amateurs! The US did both. We stole the country from the native peoples like the South Africans and proceeded to wipe out a large percent of the existing population like the Nazis. To top it off, we even forcibly brought over a totally different group of people from another continent to work as slaves and eventually become our underclass.

    Numba ONE! Yew-Ess-Ay! MURCA!

But we're the beacon on a hill, the shining light for the world to see, if you listen to a lot of people...

No TV & radio was a BIG advantage with our genocides. Look how bad Jim Crow fared in the TV age.

That's because no one in history up until Trump was treated as unfairly by the media as Jim Crow. So unfair.

But seriously though, if we're going the colonial route in the national assholery Olympics, we've got nothing on Spain, the UK, Portugal, etc.

Trump saw the water hoses being used back then and thought "if they only had the water pressure that the FDNY has"

Fire hoses are too easy to defeat in the age of Trump. Come armed with a flag and a cross. Sing the National Anthem. Over and over and over again. Throw in a few "Never Forgets!".

They'll turn the hoses on themselves if their heads don't explode.

I'd rank Spain and England number 1 and 2 (not sure who'd be first, one had almost 3 centuries of dominance, the other had more power until mid XX century) but the US is getting very close, considering we're only a couple hundred years old.

Wow, look what I started. This is like a reverse dick-measuring contest!

But I hear Jim Crow is doing a lot of good things. Fredrick Douglas was just telling me the other day how UNFIAR he was being treated, and no one in history has been WHICH HUNTED like Jim Crow!

It was probably someone here who posted about Trump still seeing everyone in stereotypes. So like Archie Bunker he's from Queens, is reactionary, has a dingbat wife, a blond daughter married to a Meathead and is scared stiff of the changing demographics of his 'hood.

Some of the worst enablers of the far right are night shows that provide some veil of fun and likability for people that is shunned by other platforms:

Have never liked Fallon. But I'll admit, it sucks seeing an artist one formerly liked go off the deep end like this.

Morrisey, Excene Cervenka, and Maureen Tucker are all dead to me.

Also can I just say that the Smiths were never anything more than a milquetoast version of the Wedding Present.

Moe Tucker is NOT actually dead?
    I had no idea.

I saw Exene and John Doe perform last year. They were terrible.

    Read this by Cilizza.

    https://www.cnn.com/2019/05/17/politics/donald-trump-golf/index.html

Yeah, I know, he is to journalism what tainted Ebola blood is to medicine.

But to him, the story is NOT, what do we do with a president who is just this side of the Kims when it comes to using outrageous lies to create and enforce a cult of personality. The story is NOT a serious inquiry into the mental health of the president. The story is a cute little normalization of sociopathy.

I want to know if LPGA pro Lexi Thompson attested and signed that scorecard. If that obese narcissistic man (Whom most people are calling Brokeahantas) shot 68 from anything over 6000 yards he would make a newsreel about it.

(I had a typo on this which said '6000 tards'. Ill leave the joke to you.....

    Shame on you.)

Fallon's a lightweight even for late night. Like that porky Brit tw@t singing in a car.

Nuge & Morrissey should tour together. Nuge can shoot dear released into the crowd while Morrissey curls up in a ball.
