Mumbly peg's a knife-throwing game boys used to play back in the "good ole days". http://www.inquiry.net/outdoor/summer/games/mumbly_peg.htm
11% as of Friday morning. And NASCAR winning--argh.... Now, if it were Formula 1, that's another matter...real cars, real men, real skill, real thrill.
Watching people drive...hmmmm. Sounds exciting. Driving a car is not a sport. Riding a horse is not a sport. It may be difficult. It may take skill. You may even have to be in good shape. It might even be dangerous. But it is not a sport. Let me also add synchronized swimming, curling (olympic kind, not the beer kind), figure skating and that gymanstics thing where they throw a ball in the air or swing that long ribbon around.
Soccer promotional problems??? Most of the promotional problems that soccer experience here in USA is: "THE LACK OF PROMOTION" nobody knows what is going on ! If you really want to know something about it, you better have a computer, FOX SPORTS WORLD is not really helping a bit, they have informationa about TINGBOUGTOW SOCCER LEAGUE, but what about USA SOCCER? NADA! The first step toward a soccer nation: a regular SOCCER HIGHLIGHT PROGRAM !
Soccer is leading NFL right now at 26%. This is going great. Hardly any channels do promoting for soccer here. But the best one I can think of is MSG. They treat the Metrostars just like they treat the Knicks, Nets, Ranger, etc.
just voted twice Soccer 39% NASCAR 37% People must be wondering why would people who like baseball watch soccer instead of NASCAR, NASCAR and baseball share some of the same demographics.
How much longer before they kill the poll because of "ballot stuffing"? Personally, I hate NASCAR. IMO, it's the worst of the major motor sports. Can I get a right turn, please? And a track that's less than 4 cars wide? NASCAR's popularity is based upon it's multi-car crashes and frequent lead-changes. Give me World Rally Championship, F1, or LeMans anyday. In F1, passing is strategic - you can't pass at any time on the course, you have to set up a pass for a certain window of opportunity. LeMans has multiple classes, which makes for some interesting traffic jams. And, of course, both of these sports often use narrow road courses. WRC? There is no better test for driver and vehicle endurance, IMO. Plus, Colin McRae is a damned trained monkey - he's super entertaining to watch.
49% Good job! next time, let's all share these info quickly so that we actually force them to write articles AFTER we conquer the poll!
