Is it me being unduly harsh, or does he seem a little "unfit" for the beginning of the season? Carrying a few zu viele Currywuerste around that waistline?

Last season he had a very good first half of the season, scoring nine goals. After the winter break, he cooled down, only scored twice, and got benched.

Glad to see him starting again and scoring.

Well, scoring anyway. He didn't play in the last match and came off the bench in this one.

He does this every season, actually

    2014/15: 5 before / 3 after
    2015/16: 6 / 0
    2016/17: 8 / 1

Since joining Sandhausen, he's now scored 20 goals in the fall and four after the winter break.

seems to be back, played in a friendly game behind closed doors where he started and his team won 4-1 vs Hoff.

interesting that there is no Haji Wright in sight though....

    Interesting but hardly surprising.

Surprising that he hasn't been sent back to Schalke already, TBH.

Boyd, Wooten, Wood, and Johannsson just cannot stay injury free. Well at least Wright and Sargent don't seem this injury prone for now that is....

is on the bench as Sandhausen takes on Furth.

if everyone was fit and on the matchday squad.
    game could have had
    Sandhausen: Wooten, Wright, Gipson,
    Furth: Green

instead it's a Green vs Wooten only.

Today, Sandhausen announced departing players and 4 new arrivals. Wooten as of now doesn't seem to be leaving Sandhausen, he's contracted until 2019. All the strikers that are contracted until 2018 are leaving this Summer, guys like Wright, Vunguidica, and Sukuta-Pasu.

the club is buying/loaning in 2 new strikers, they could end up going for another 1-2 to make it 4-5 strikers next season. As of now they only have 3 strikers for next season.

so guys like Ken Gipson and Wooten have to impress next season, otherwise they are likely to be let go.

    Starts a friendly:

And it looks like he scores a header:

Not quite sure if he scored it or assisted:

    14 ' | After a nice combination of #Kulovits and #Gouaida meets the #Wooten 1:0 for the #SVS!

scored a hat trick today in a 9-0 win. At this rate he has a good shot with being the starter, since almost all the strikers at the club from last season have left.

no Green vs Wooten, as the usual seems like Wooten is injured/not fit.
