Returning to Spain to a boring midtable team doesn't make much sense, I guess he did it for his family.
He's playing high level football. It's better than taking a paycheck and going to a retirement league. He played really well. Betis fans love him. Everyone in Spain respects him. Betis isn't a boring team. You clearly haven't watched them.
I don't reply to posts where said poster take it personal for whatever reason. To not derail the thread here is guardado stats at whoscored, good so far. https://es.whoscored.com/Players/21019/Show/Andrés-Guardado
Those stats can be misleading, anyone who watches a Betis match can tell you he’s a key factor on the pitch. When he went down to injury the team suffered in the middle. Playing for Betis is very respectable given his age and how long he’s been in Europe
Your original post seemed like a personal shot at the subject of this thread. You could only think this team is boring if you haven't watched their games. I've been following closely, and actively contributing to this thread. I can tell you that they are anything but. They have a lineup of very good players who at their best have competed and even netted wins against top teams in Spain.

I haven't watched much tbh, but I was entertained and guardado carries himself like a un jefazo. It was cool to watch.

That 5th place finish is so close! Hope they get it and maybe get another mexican. Layun almost went to Betis, didn't he?
If Atlético wins the Europa league is it possible that Betis will qualify for the Champions League as 5th place? Is that still a thing?
