That would be a great move for him. He needs regular playing time and AC Milan is a disaster right now.
Yeah and Gattuso doesn't seem like a good choice for Milan. I really hope this doesn't ruin Andre since Portugal desperately needs a solid striker.
They will be in the prem next season, so if it was possible for Wolves to get even more Portuguese than it already is, it would be great.
yeah he's Postiga 2. As long as there is attack going on and hes in the box already he can score but beat a defender or take hold of a game by himself that won't happen. As long as Ronaldo, Gelson, Bernardo and maybe Bruma are there to pressure he will be good for us. Without 2 of the main 3 mentioned he is pretty useless.
Hopefully wolves goes on a great run and Andre fits in. Can only do wonders for the NT if a core group from Wolves is all on the field ...if they are a decent Prem side of course
He's loving life, far cry from when he was at Milan. Now can he get a hat trick and go top of la liga scoring?
It really helps to be on a team where you actually get the ball in legitimate positions to score. The service, spacing, style at Milan were terrible. Every time I watched Andre in Serie A last season all his touches would be 15+ yards away from goal with his back to the keeper. I'm so glad he's playing well and that my eyes weren't deceiving me last season.
Not to sound like I'm dissing his achievements, but its much easier to score goals in La Liga IMO. Even though he didn't play well/much at Milan, i'd say he learnt a lot from it playing against teams that know how to defend. To score a doubt against Madrid will surely boost his confidence even more. Portugal needs a goal poacher, and that's what he's good at. You'll never see him dribble players and score on his own, but that's fine
What a joke starting G.Guedes over Andre Silva in the World Cup. I hope Guedes keeps improving but Andre Silva had a great track record in qualifications and with Portugal and should have started, even if he was struggling at Milan.
Simply looking at goals scored doesn't prove the difficulty/likelihood of scoring a goal, but last season there were 1,024 goals scored in La Liga and 1,017 goals scored in Serie A. Per match, that's 2.69 to 2.67, and the La Liga numbers are driven up by Barcelona and Madrid, which score way more goals than anyone else. Over the previous two years it was 2.86 in La Liga and 2.77 in Serie A. So far this season, there have been 2.55 goals per La Liga match and 2.53 per Serie A match. The styles of play are different, but the number of goals scored in each league doesn't support the idea that goals are more difficult to come by in one or the other.
After such a great start he fell off the face of the word despite starting most games. He is a decent poacher when things are going well when things are tough he is invisible. In today's game if youre not fast then you better be really big or be incredibly gifted at dribbling as a striker. Andre is none of those things
He's been very disappointing, indeed, especially after the scoring spree he was on had at the beginning of the season. I really hope he's not going to turn into another Nelson Oliveira. At least, Rafeal Leão he's been doing really well with Lille.
