Death knell. NASL will not come back- not with teams establishing themselves in USL, and MLS moving to town in Miami, etc. San Diego coming into USL is intriguing - finally things showing up on the west coast which is great for Sacramento Republic and California in general. I've always said we need more teams out here, now it's really filling in.

As frustrated as we've been with our own club's performance of late, at least we're (well, some of us) not enduring San Jose's disastrous season. Earthquakes are averaging 0.68 pts per game this year. That's the fifth lowest avg. pt. total in league history, third lowest since the year 2000. Hell, it's barely higher than what Tulsa is doing this year (0.67). I watched the first half of last night's collapse against Vancouver. Sooooo many no-shows. Even the Ultras appear to be 1/2 the size of years past.
As a long time Quakes fan, i have to say that this season’s on-field performance has been the hardest to watch. Unfortunately, the Quakes’ problems are even deeper in the front office, and won’t be fixed until management gets its own act together. I mean, the best managerial decision this year was Kaval deciding to go to the A’s........ I don’t know how they are going to be able to make the loan payments for Avaya with the lack of butts in seats. Fingers crossed for the best.
STH from '08 through '16. It's particularly disappointing because there was a pretty significant makeover of the starting lineup in '17 (making me wonder at the start of the season if I should have kept my seats), and of course new management and more new faces in '18. I was pretty optimistic they could contend in the West. Instead, the team has backslid even further. It's really too, too bad.
Rochester Rhinos plan return in 2020, but to USL D3. https://sports.yahoo.com/rochester-rhinos-move-usl-d-235847693.html
after I read this news from the USL, I am starting to believe relegation\promotion will be a possibility in the USL
Yeah, between Championship and League 1, maybe. I'm still not convinced pro/rel will ever be a thing in the U.S. due to investment $. We'll see. Pardon the underline. I use a Chromebook now and somehow turned on underline. You'd think it would be easy to google how to turn this damn feature off.
Not sure if he knows the structure of footie here in the US, but right now Sac Republic are the #1 team in Nor Cal - I guess Matias Almeyda can work on becoming the #1 side in Nor Cal first

Some #USL rumors: @USL2EastBay may gear up for 2020 and play out of Diablo Valley Community College until their venue project moves forward. Unclear if USL-C or starting in USL-1Word is that Fresno FC may be sold with possibilities ranging from USL-C, USL-1 or hiatus in 2020— Chris Kivlehan (@kivlehan) September 30, 2019 Not surprising in the least re Fresno. Good team, but the city and the community completely suck ass. Funny part is, they could probably move up to Clovis Buchanan High School and both draw better and be more profitable.

O'Neil park, eh? That's a city park right of 50 and I-5. I wonder if there will be upgrades. It has city park-quality lighting and seating for a few dozen. Bike Dog taproom is only a block away. No upgrade needed there.
