Perhaps they are only there to train.

Karalexis was first team pdl or whatever last season and scored a goal, as a defender, during sunderland's match over here. Looks like he went to something called Anselm college in Canada, so he may not be a yank...

Sunderland played a "pickup" team in Cary NC, and some of the players were Hammerheads. They slightly outplayed S'land, and were winning when the game was called due to lightning.

He went to St. Anselm in New Hampshire...from Massachusetts originally.

He was the PSL's "Defender of the Year" this season and is a Yank... Wonder if he has a Euro passport. If Jay DeMerit can jump from the PDL to Watford's reserves, why can't Karalexis jump from the PSL to Sunderland's?

Yeah, someday if this youth soccer explosion continues, the days of an American pro team going to Britain and losing to a bunch of semi-pros and amatuers will be a thing of the past.

    You can always dream.
