Silvestre to his right, Pizzaro and Frings to his left?

Welcome to the big leagues.

Wow they let a trialist for Werder II practice with the first team on a consistent basis....

I never heard of something like this.

International break. They probably had something like 7 players there, and needed a sparring partner.

Yeah, that's the kicker, the name Frankie, that casts a shadow of doubt that it isn't Yao. Who knows maybe Frank, Franklin, or something like that is his real first name or even middle name!!

Who ever finds out who the kid is should get an award. Or at least a lot of positive rep.

Is it still possible to rename this thread as "Yank Kid in Bremen" & bring Parmigiano back from his hiatus?

It's not ''on a consistent basis''. He appears to be trialing with Werder II and, because of the international break, they brought some players up to the first team, very temporarily, to fill out the training as they had so few players available. It's possible that he has stood out in his short time at Werder II and they decided to pick him to throw out there, but we don't know that that's the case.

He got to Werder on October 3rd and he will return to San Francisco on October 17th.

He developed in the SF Seals program.

A few questions:
Is this a serious trial or just one of those semi-serious training stints?

What position(s) does he play?

Does he hold any foreign passport?

Don't know about position and I don't know about a passport.

The stint is long enough where he can show what he can do. He's done a few sessions with the U23s and I think the first team. He's playing with professionals on this stint.

He is still retaining his NCAA eligibility.

Thanks.

There is also some new stuff on the team's message boards today. It looks like he plays on the right side as a DM and at RB. And he did not look good at all during training.

my guess is when you write for a site that deals with people born in the US who play abroad, he has his resources that we dont.
