I also just wanted to leave this here. https://bleacherreport.com/articles...-as-1-of-the-biggest-breakout-players-in-2019 https://dawindycity.com/2019/07/17/chicago-bears-trubisky-breakout-2019/ http://www.chicagonow.com/bears-hyp...ell-trubisky-is-primed-for-a-breakout-season/
Mitch was supposedly 1 of 8 on passes travelling over ten yards last night. He'll continue to be exposed until he's out of a starting job.
He has no excuse to be playing this poorly. His weapons are solid. He's got above average WRs, a good 1-2 in Montgomery and Cohen and pretty good o-line. He has a great defense and an above average play caller in Nagy. He played two good defenses, but that does not excuse his performances. Anyone that was on the cusp of breaking out would have done better than he has.
I think another thing that is worth mentioning is the Cowboys have played the Giants and Skins, who both have been trash, and will get the Dolphins next. Let's not crown Dallas just yet until they start facing better teams. Sure, they will probably make the playoffs, but I am not jumping on the Super Bowl contender bandwagon just yet. Playing these three teams will make Dak look good, but we will see how he plays vs better teams and how much of an improvement Kellen Moore really is.
Like you guys said, it's clear that the team couldn't fill the holes left by AB and Bell with Juju and Connor. AB absence is huge as it didn't allow teams to double Juju or stack the box on Connor. I agree that this is a blessing in disguise because it was safe to say that the Steelers weren't going to compete vs the Pats or Chiefs. They now get to look at their QB project and see if it needs to be addressed next year. And if Mason is a flop, their record will probably put them in decent enough position to draft one of the top 3 QBs in the draft.
@MatthausSammer @Emperor Adriano any of you interested in dealing one of your WRs? I am dangling Singletary and Waller for something.
End of an era: The #Giants have named Daniel Jones as their starting QB. Eli Manning goes to the bench.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) September 17, 2019 Good move. I will say I am a bit surprised they made this move this early considering how stubborn they were.
Donald Penn was really good on Sunday, he had the 5th highest pass-blocking grade of the week with an 87.8 and didn't allow a single pressure, per @PFF. Just another reason to trade Trent to any of the dozens of teams in desperate need of a tackle. #HTTR— Nick Akridge (@PFF_NickAkridge) September 17, 2019 I can't believe people are buying into Donald Penn. Our run game is struggling because of him and Flowers. And when we get a positive play, it's called back to holding. We led the league last year with a battered oline in holding penalties and we are off to the same thing this season. It seems like every positive play we make on offense and defense is being called back due to penalties and the refs aren't to blame. If anything, the refs let Dallas get away with some holds, but that made no difference in the game. I place the blame solely on Jay because it's been a common theme year in and year out. Penalties and injuries for the last 3 seasons. i'm going to need something more marquee than singletary unless its for marquise goodwin or sanu or zay jones.
So incredibly Disappointed & Frustrated with the @Giants Right now. Defense gives up 63 Points in 2 Games & WR Group is depleted but let’s Change our QB??— Shaun O'Hara (@ShaunOHara60) September 17, 2019 Eli just has some sort of trance over people. I understand wanting to defend a guy that brought you two Super Bowls, but you have to learn to move on. It's not like you are indebted to start him because he won you something many years ago.
i need a qb more than a te. I want singletary tho but he's injured and you didn't throw out a wr for me to consider.
how's he wrong tho? the defense hasn't shown up at all. Not saying i'd start eli but that d is probably 32/32
