There was never a path towards anyone building a team that could match up with the Warriors on paper. But Houston showed that the Warriors are mortal if you have the right team configured around two legit star players. A team with LeBron and Leonard has the potential to be the Warriors' toughest adversary yet.
With that said, signing Stephenson and McGee weren't the moves I would've hoped for to aggressively reinforce the team moving forward with James.
I don't see it that way. Lakers needed a backup PG something awful. Tyler Ennis singlehandedly lost us games last year with how terrible he was. If anything, this seems like a reinforcement of their faith in Lonzo by getting a similar archetype to back him up.
Magic Told rondo he will compete for the starting job. Rondo isn't one to sit on the bench and play a role. Plus lavar dissing Walton like crazy this offseason
He might compete, but he won't win. I felt like he played a role fine with the Pelicans. I think LaVar matters way less than people think he does.
You happen to see the previous two stops for Rondo? I'm a huge fan of Rondo but he's no bench player. And talking about the Lakers with any certainty at this point is a bit much for me. Signing Lance and Rondo doesn't make sense unless something cataclysmic is in store.
Kawhi no longer wants to be a Laker.. If that's true.. Wtf does Magic have up his sleeve? PG is staying in OKC.. Whose left?
i guess we're just going to need to wait and see. This Lakers team is incomplete, and might be all the way up until the deadline. Magic and Pelinka have made moves in the past that I haven't been thrilled with (trading Russell to dump Mozgov), but they haven't put a step wrong yet. Worst case scenario we waste a year and then pitch the likes of Butler, Klay, Kawhi, etc. next year. Which wouldn't be all that bad given we don't have to give up our young players that way.
Positive signs. Saying the right things. Rajon Rondo on the phone to Lakers media: "They have me here to help win games, any way possible, whatever situation I might be in. I think they have plans, me being here along with other guys and this great young core. I’m not so much caught up in starting (or not)."— Mike Trudell (@LakersReporter) July 6, 2018
So I definitely felt the same exact way you did upon reading the news. But I was able to calm down. Maybe this is reasoning, or maybe this is dillusion, you guys be the judge: Trading Gortat for Austin Rivers, then signing Dwight to a 2 year 11mil contract is actually a huge upgrade for us. 1. He is better than Gortat easily. He averaged 16 and 12 last year. Gortat cant ******** with that. Also rim protection. 2. We also added Jeff Green. Our bench is as good as its been. 3. John Wall makes people look better. I can imagine he will revive dwight a little bit.
Is it the same woman who said he had a small dick publicly ?? And he said he hasn't had contact with the people involved according to him so I think it's a big nothing burger. I guess a friend made the allegation so shouldn't be anything. Maybe enough for goodell
HANG ON. There’s a detail I haven’t seen posted, from another story on the topic: “Court records in Fulton County, Georgia, show McCoy had been attempting since last July to evict Cordon from the home. A hearing was scheduled for Tuesday in the case…” So this person is about to be kicked out of a house she’s squatting in, and the day before it goes to court she suddenly gets assaulted at the behest of the man trying to extricate her from the house? I’m sorry but that makes no sense, McCoy was about to get what he wanted via court order, why would he blow it at the last minute?
Skins just took this kid in the supplemental draft. I don't mind the gamble at all, and Torian Gray is really familiar with Va Tech DBs. https://sports.yahoo.com/story-adon...andidate-offers-loads-intrigue-031416081.html
@Emperor Adriano I'm not sure how you can say Watt is overrated when we basically haven't seen him play fully healthy for like two years? If you want to say he's overrated because he's always hurt, that feels like a strange angle. Watt was legit awe-inspiring for a long time for the Texans. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now. If he can't do it this year I'll write him off.
