It pleasantly surprised me that you had the Lions at 14, @Emperor Adriano. After the last few Lions-related podcasts, I thought you were just gonna go to town one last time on this team for being passive in the offseason. I'm a little surprised Giff really hated the draft we had, considering we got his number one center and his number four RB. I didn't get the sense that he didn't think Kerryon was a good RB until the Lions picked him, so okay. Felt like 22 was harsh, but fine. I had them at 18, so not that much difference.
I haven’t heard the podcast, but it is possible to like the player, but dislike the fit. Maybe Kerryon doesn’t fit the mold in who he thought would be ideal for Detroit.
Well, I can say that what I prioritized for the Lions was a power back who can impose a physical presence on a team. Blount can’t be that guy for a team all the way through the season though, hence why the Eagles grabbed Ajayi. A big reason why I loved Guice so much was the power. Kerryon doesn’t have that special kind of power, but he’s still big and tough to bring down. It sounded like Giff wanted a more dynamic threat catching out of the backfield, but for me, Riddick is already the guy in the RB group who can run routes out of the backfield and catch balls.

my goodness, comment on the bears video I see a lot of trouble for teams running the on them the whole season except if a rash of injuries come up. Otherwise we could be looking at a top 5 to 3 defense in the making without a ton of sacks but a lot of QB hits will discourage a QB after while as well so we'll see in a few months what pans out!
