If we were going to take a safety, you should have taken James or the very least, Harrison in the third round. Can’t believe Settle is still available.
Dline is massively upgraded now. Everything works out, it’s a respectable dline. There’s a rotation that we could use and some depth. Payne was the only pick that I was just alright with. I would have probably done something differently (Edmunds or James), but I’m alright with. The other picks were either home runs or strikeouts IMO.
That's my point tho. Sometimes you have to know that you can get a physical offensive lineman in the 2nd, plenty of teams do it every year. Patriots seemed to be sure about Sony Michel. I think the lions drafted the wrong rb.
I'm okay with the Lions draft. I like Ragnow and Crosby, dunno about Walker, Hand is intriguing, don't love Kerryon, but it's understandable.
I think Kerryon will be fine although I do agree with Lawson that you’d be better off taking Michel in the first and moving up to take James Daniels. I wouldn’t have gone Ragnow there, but maybe the pick works out like it did for Dallas with Travis Frederick. Many people ripped that selection.
Maybe, but I like Ragnow. Dude rarely seems to lose battles, and I was impressed with his game against Alabama. A reliable Bengals guy that got a lot of their first rounders right reported that Ragnow was their dude, and there was other reported interest, including the Vikings, so it's not like it was an egregious reach. I thought you weren't a Michel in the 1st guy?
Not for the Redskins. I think the fit is there with Detroit. If you like what Ragnow did vs Alabama, then why don’t you like what Kerryon did vs elite opposition in Georgia and Alabama?
I remember watching Kerryon v Alabama, but I don't remember coming away with a real impression of him from that. Maybe I'll go back to that.
Kerryon is a one year starter, plus it helps that his QB was Stidham. Only time will tell if dude was worth it.
Guice is basically a one year starter. Split carries with Fournette last year and was hurt and split carries in the middle of the season this year. Maybe a bit more than a year and had better production, but I don’t see it as a knock.
Auburn didn't have a Fournette talent to take carries away from Kerryon nor a Runningback by committee. They had Racean and that's it, but I think he ended up transferring out or getting hurt. Plus they weren't run heavy, they were pass heavy.

There were several guys I was kind of surprised no one took-- Adams was it?-- the running back from Notre Dame? Sure he was a product of that line; but there are teams with good lines but a shortage of guys who can get to the holes on time-- and he apparently can... Barrett-- if you are going to take a flyer on a developmental qb his top end seems maybe higher than most. Tony Brown of Alabama-- the whole rest of the damn team got drafted and nobody wanted a corner who runs 4.35, not even for special teams? I suppose the Thompson kid from Georgia who kept getting hurt, I suppose the docs just didn't like whatever's left of him...
Josh Adams has damaged knees. Tore his acl or mcl once or twice already. J.T. Barrett might be a steal for the Colts. Tony Brown has attitude problems and just isn't a very good corner. He's a track star who could definitely bode well as a Special teams guy, but I think he has injury concerns too.. collar bone and shoulder.
Figures that the chargers signed him as a UDFA then. They have had some hits at corner recently but it seems like every year there’s one of these guys that makes the team.
If changes are coming to Raiders front office, they haven't happened yet (but some think Bruce Allen is looming) https://t.co/kosBa6LfSQ— ProFootballTalk (@ProFootballTalk) April 30, 2018 Do us a solid, Raiders.
@MatthausSammer sounds like the Lions did us a favor by moving a spot in front of us and taking Kerryon. There are rumblings that we'd take him there at 44. I appreciate it, buddy!
