1. Yep. Reuben Foster would have been a lot better. 2. I can't see him being even average next year. Maybe in year 2. 3. Yea, Hyder going off again is no guarantee even though it was great to watch. 4. That right side is really nice. So possibly, but doubt it. 5. agreed.
I'm going to set up the fantasy lg in a week or two if you guys are still down. @MatthausSammer @Mengão86 Door's open to @Catracho_Azul if he doesn't blame "yahoo".
I'm going to have to go in on Calvin Johnson today. I understood his decision and opinion but this is now getting out of hand...
Even as a Lions fan I'm not even mad. This organization simply isn't good and it wasted Calvin's whole career with zero playoff wins. It also has the potential to waste Stafford's career too.
I just don't get how it starts at , I'm in too much pain to play anymore, that's why i'm retiring. That's what he 1st said pretty much although he did mention the lack of winning. As the months go on he's taken shots at the organization, and now he is acting like he'd be playing if he didn't have that contract with Detroit. Wasn't he owed like 24-26 last year? I don't think the Lions were bringing him back that year at that price tag regardless. Now he is acting like the Lions were going to keep him and pay that amount , that's why he doesn't have another team. I don't believe it. If he wanted another team he should have been vocal. He had the chance, Lions weren't paying him that money imo.
That was mostly down to Stafford and Megatron though. They had very little at receiver or RB and the offensive linne play was at best average throughout his career. Defences were usually bad to below-average aside from 2014, and even then it got ripped a new one by elite offences like the Patriots. I mean, Lombardi should've never even sniffdd an OC job in his life, yet the Lions gave him one.
As great as Megatron was, there had to be other things that led to winning seasons and near .500 seasons other than that combo. Coordinator jobs going to undeserving hacks happen all the time in the NFL. Heck, the Redskins hired JIM ZORN as their HC when he didn't even have qualifications to be a OC.
There was also Suh, Avril/Ansah, Delmas/Quin, Slay after his first year, and Levy, but the defence was mostly scrubby otherwise in Calvin's career.
McCloughan wanted Cousins long term at around $12M per year. Once price got past $20M per year in 2016, McCloughan was uncomfortable.— Jason Cole (@JasonCole62) July 14, 2017 Thanks, Scott.
It's his job to at this point. Idk if I could shill like that... certainly not for his meager wages. And he also knows nothing about football and he has never played football a day in his life so like I said he may believe it. I doubt his parents would let him play contact sports. Didn't you post a link or sum shit how he was a kid reporter ?
I may have, but yes, he was. His football takes on topics outside of the Kirk Cousins crap are horrible too. He seems to be mostly a hockey and baseball guy.
Gettleman is out as Panthers GM. Interesting. There are things I like about Getttleman's tenure wih the Pantthers, but his rosters have always been rather uneven, and the team's performance reflects that.
Plus he's gone out of his way to make big controversial moves. So his fingerprints are all over this. Like look how much money they have dedicated to their front 7 without the most important piece , dominant pass rusher.
I saw bruce allen's press conference. Is Kirk playing 4d chess against the redskins??? seems like it...
I'm not into boxing or UFC AT ALL, but with all the hype surrounding McGregor vs Mayweather, I decided to watch a highlight reel of Mayweather just to get the feel for him. I can already see that McGregor's going to lose. This guy Mayweather legit embarrasses pro boxers, his reaction time and ability to dodge and attack with the counterjab is freakish. If the best boxing has to offer can't tag Floyd, what chance does McGregor, a non-boxer by trade, have?
You are right , boxing is too tough to just pick up and be like mayweather. He was in the gym everyday since he was 9. It's more of a craft than other sports imo including mma. As far as I'm concerned it's free money to bet on mayweather. I love mcgregor tho , what he did to Jose Aldo psychologically then physically was sinister. Everyone thought he'd lose that one too...
