Only he and Reiff were OTs worth a damn in FA, and the OT draft class isn't great, so I expected a bit of an overpay. Still though I think when you consider age, it's not terrible.

@Harambe Alvinegro, I've heard people, when they describe Mike Williams, compare him to Laquon Treadwell and say he isn't fast enough or polished enough to get separation in man coverage. I haven't seen a ton of Williams, but I can see where they're coming from, he doesn't look quick and I do generally see him catching contested balls. You were a guy who called Treadwell right from the start and said he was going to bust. What's different about Mike that you think he's a better prospect than Treadwell was last year?

For me he is quite a bit different although I have heard the comparison. I guess the first question is how do you view deshaun Watson ? He forced the ball to mike Williams a ton this year so I think the ints on those throws made people start looking at Williams saying "he's not getting enough seperation". For me he is more athletic than treadwell and stronger/more physical. And I'm not giving Williams an out for fading in games but look at some of
The massive plays he's made and then I also remember this is one year after coming off a very serious injury. I mean would I take will fuller or doctson over mike Williams like treadwell last year ? It's tough to say cause I was worried about saying fuller was the number one wr last year but he proved me right. And treadwell looked slow to me , I never thought to myself , mike Williams is slow until I saw he wouldn't run in the combine. I read a article saying he isn't a top 50 player maybe I'm missing something. Clemson is always on tv so I've seen him plenty.

I think he's a top 50 player, but not top 15 or so. In that range. Thanks for the thoughts, and I don't really rate Watson. I wouldn't touch any QB in this class with a ten foot pole in the first round except Mahomes, and even then I'd prefer it be in an "Aaron Rodgers to Green Bay" situation where he can sit for a year or two behind an aging established starter.

I know Texas Tech's offence is awful when translating to the NFL, and I know his footwork and mechanics are terrible, but the kid just has exceptional arm talent and I think he has next level potential. A bit like Carr when he was coming out.

Romo reportedly getting released today. I'm a bit surprised the Cowboys are trusting Dak so easily and quickly.

Romo's done in. His body is breaking down in a major way, and he couldn't even get through a preseason game with the best offensive line on the planet without suffering a major injury. I wouldn't trust him if I'm a GM.

I'm curious what kind of deal Pryor will get. I like Britt, but I think Pryor can be better.

Whoa! I've always liked Mike Glennon, but the Bears' contract is too much for him.

Good move. Tampa needed a deep threat to take advantage of Jameis' desire to consistently push the ball downfield. And Cameron Brate was his second option after Evans; not good enough.

And Minnesota has to start opening up the wallet for these tackles. They're flying off the shelves; heck, they've already lost Matt Kalil. Before you know it, TJ Clemmings has to start again and no one wants to see that.

Russell Okung is still out there. Panthers were looking at him before they got Kalil.

Good signing by them. I wanted him, but with the dysfunction that we have, we are going to be shit.

Yeah, but if you don't start getting on top of this tackle situation fast, Kalil walking may very well be a detriment. As bad as he is, there are worse tackles out there.

Okung was not very good when I watched Broncos games and he's very injury-prone.
I liked him as a Fitzpatrick Hoyer type, not as a Brock Osweiler type getting paid major money.

I said last summer you guys were going to be in no mans land like in ww1 but it's worse than I expected. I would be dismayed if a South American soccer club had this bizarre an offseason/front office friction that we see in Washington. Guess I have to eat crow on Snyder , I always thought even through his bad moves he genuinely wanted to win.
