http://www.goltv.tv/content/attention-directv-sports-pack-subscribers ATTENTION DIRECTV SPORTS PACK SUBSCRIBERS As a result of DirecTV's new relationship with the Emir of the State of Qatar and founder of Al Jazeera, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, DirecTV intends to remove GolTV from its Sports Pack effective September 13. Despite GolTV's efforts to negotiate a solution for soccer fans, DirecTV is determined to eliminate more than 500 live and exclusive soccer matches aired each year by the network. For consumers who love soccer and want to see GolTV's 24-hour programming, including Bundesliga, European World Cup qualifiers, the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup and top leagues and tournaments from the Americas, we urge you to contact DirectTV to let them know that you want to watch your favorite teams on GolTV. Subscribers to the Mas Latino package will still be able to watch GolTV on channel 456. If you are a DirecTV Sports Pack subscriber, you are paying to have access to GolTV's matches and shows. If you want to have GolTV as part of your Sports Pack subscription call DirecTV at 1-888-777-2454
most likely not although one might think the league thread is more about talking about pre and post match type talk and this is out there for anyone to see. Otherwise, probably not.
Guys, I battled with DirecTV on the phone about this earlier today. They really don't get that people watch GolTV for something other than La Liga. When you call them, get after them. Don’t just let them blow you off. I admit I didn't get anywhere, but I think we need to make it clear to them that beInSport DOES NOT have all the programming GolTV has. They seem to really not know this. I kept mentioning the Bundesliga in particular. I got after them about this over and over. So much that I had to keep reminding the people I was talking to that I was not upset with them, but at the entire situation. I let them know that I tried their on-line Customer Service, but all they did was send me the beInSport form letter and I was not satisfied with this as an answer. We need to get more people to call them and let them know the problem isn't that La Liga is no longer on GolTV. The problem is GolTV still has programming we want to see. As stated, I don't think people there realize that some of us want to keep GolTV for the Bundesliga. Or maybe they just don’t care. Either way, if enough of us call, they’ll have to listen. I’m going to keep calling about this. I hope some of you will too.
If you are annoyed by the lack of Bundesliga coverage in the Unites States write to DFL SE executives and employees and tell them about the status quo in the US. The DFL SE is in charge of the Bundesliga`s international broadcasting rights. You can contact them via http://dfl-sports-enterprises.com/en/Unser_team.html - all of them should speak English.
I don't think so. Since FSC is likely to close up shop after the EPL rights go away, I don't think we will see BL on TV in the US after GolTV goes under.
