This thread is hereby created to discuss all things Aguila for the 2016-17 seasons of Liga MX, Copa MX, and any and all tournaments, games, events that América will be participating in (dominating) this year. Hopefully, I will not just be in here talking to myself. So far América is 4-0-0 in all competitions. Some thoughts: *I have not been too impressed with what I've seen from Renato so far. Hopefully he just needs more time to build chemistry with teammates. *Peralta knows how to exit in style. You will be missed while in Rio. Please, just come back healthy. That means no injuries or burning sensations. Antibiotics aren't what they used to be. *Romero and Quintero should hold down the fort just fine while he's gone. When does Martinez get back?
Well that shit sucked. First goal never should have happened because of the foul leading up to it. I don't think there was intent on Renato's part, but I'm okay with the red there. Then it just kind of fell off the rails. Aguilas still put up a good fight despite the circumstances.
this was probably the worst game under Nacho. so frustrating to see them give up the ball so easily, and the lack of urgency in most of the players..could have easily been worse..
Yeah I'm not sure why Nacho would go away from the 5-3-2 which has been so successful so far. I'm more of a believer in playing to your strength and force the opposition to adjust, especially when at home.
yea Nacho ********ed up again like he did vs pumas during the liguilla last year. honestly tigres no traia nada y no era para perder por tres, pero el America se dejo ganar y si pudo ser peor...pero ni modo a desquitarse contra Veracruz..
So, a third of the way into the Apertura and las Aguilas are sitting in a Libertadores spot and undefeated in Copa MX. Can't complain too much about that. But, the last couple games have seen points dropped against weaker opponents. Even though the defense hasn't exactly been covering itself in glory, the bigger issue has really been poor finishing. Oribe will fix that and all will be well. Now comes the Clásico de Clásicos which is the perfect time to get things back on track. Chivas are shit right now, so I fully expect 3 points. América is 5-3-1 against Chivas in the last 9, including liguilla. Daddy will give them the spanking they deserve. BTW, still fcuking love these away uniforms: Just gorgeous.
Is this a common sentiment? I haven't agreed with every decision but it's not like the team has sucked under his watch. I mean I'd gladly take Piojo back if available, but Ambriz seems adequate.
