Yikes. Honestly the Deltas have gone about their brand and their launch the completely wrong way and has the look of an organization that will be gone in a year or two. I wish Todd the best but I'm not holding my breath about this team being any more well run than the Victory were. By the way, the NASL has brought in two completely terrible brands in the San Francisco Deltas and Rayo OKC.
Not to brag or anything, but should I post my pic taken immediately before that of me standing between them....? And for the record, I talked with Edson a little bit and he was very humble and very keen on giving back and working with young players and helping develop the game... And I forgave Roy for all the heartache and grief he gave this Galaxy fan....
Did you mention to Roy that he would be lucky to score 10 goals in a season in today's league where defense is being played?
Playing in his final game, Guatemala’s Carlos Ruiz scored five goals against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines before leaving the rain-drenched pitch to massive cheers from the Guatemala City faithful. http://soccer.nbcsports.com/2016/09...emalas-ruiz-scores-five-in-final-match-video/
Last I heard he was working for a Bay Area NASL team that was being formed. Not sure that ever got off the ground as I don't follow that league.
They're on schedule to start next season. They've got a number of things going in their favor so the could do well even though the NASL is having troubles.
It's risky but I think it's a pretty good move. He's listed as Director of Business Development and Soccer Operations. I think that makes him some mix of Chris Klein and Jovan Kirovski. There probably isn't much opportunity for him to move up here, so if he goes somewhere else and does well it will make him more attractive on the national market or to come back to the Galaxy. They may be all website and no business, but SF looks like they're well funded.
All the fracking in Oklahoma is causing a bunch of earthquakes. Maybe they could move to OKC and they wouldn't need to re-brand.
http://www.bigapplesoccer.com/leagues/npsl2.php?article_id=46793 Paul Caligiuri, the man who scored arguably the most important goal in U.S. Soccer history, has been named head coach of Orange County FC. the NPSL club made the announcement Friday. Caligiuri also played for Hamburger SV, SV Meppen, Hansa Rostock and SC Freiburg in Germany. Returning home to play in MLS, he performed for the Columbus Crew and LA Galaxy before retiring from the game in 2001.
Can't imagine why Gerrard isn't in the worst 10 http://www.si.com/planet-futbol/201...ated-players-10-years-david-beckham-la-galaxy On the best list, Keane #2, Becks #1.

Apparently, Juni got a red card in his last match in MX so, he'll be suspended for his first match for the Fire at the request of the Mexican Fed. Some bad news for #cf97 fans. Nice goal. He was usually good for one great goal per season. The rest will pepper the stands behind the goal. Too bad for him he used it up during the preseason.
