teh difference guys is possession..one team shows its strength at it (Villareal) while another, due to tactics, formation or strategy, or a combo of all (USMNT) find it hard to create in this way due to lack of coherent possession spells.... Look at Altidore... Applauded by the fans for simply keepeing possession late in the game.... fantastic job,,,,
Pires you sh1thead, there's a reason we let you go...TO PASS IT TO JOZY...selfish, Jozy was pointing exactly where he wanted and would have scored
FT..effin' awesome Alti...... great job.... BTW Cazorla es un monstruo....and he does not need to be particularly tall nor strong....
Not quite. Altidore has been very good in his debut... I suspect he'll be supplanting Llorente in due time. Just thought it might keep perspective to note where he could have done a trifle better.
Exactly. There were a few chances, that I saw Pires could of slipped Jozy one, but decided to dribble longer. And for them to be best friends, weird. Anyways, I really hope they play many games Villareal games on Gol Tv, I can just imagine what Hudson would of said about him.
That's a darn good debut for Jozy, I have to think he inched up the depth chart a bit with the performance. He certainly provides something Llorente and Franco can't, that ability to create on his own. He looked very confident and I really hope he stays with Villarreal and finds his way up to 1st sub when Nihat and Rossi return. I'm glad to finally have a vested interest on a side I already liked in La Liga. It's going to be fun to follow the yellow submarine, Carzola is pure class.
Yes, it drove me mad to see everyone from Johnston to Arena to Osorio playing him on the wing. He's a freaking target striker.
I'd say Pellegrini is far above Bruce in terms of how to play tough intricate/complex matches..... and on how to adjust his players accordingly...
True... it also helps when his close control of the ball is not very good at times. P.S. On my previous post, I wasn't saying that Altidore wasn't as great as he was made out to be, I was saying that his technical limitations weren't as great as some others have suggested... sorry for the confusion.
That was a great debut by Altidore. He looked like he belonged out there. Glad to see that he is doing well with Villareal. The commentators and the crowd really seem to like him.
