He had a decent shot from a bit of an angle directly off the pass, but he was going for the ideal shot.

Agreed, but if he's gonna show that much of the ball on the cut back he may as well have struck it beforehand.

Villarreal just have to keep on attacking, especially on the outside. Zagreb is dropping back and giving the midfield and defense a chance to move forward with the ball.

Dinamo are nasty on the counter-attack. Great anticipation to pick off long passes and then killer through balls for the finish. 2-0 and game over.

That is absolutely HORENDOUS defending by Villarreal. HORRIBLE. U-12 quality. Good gravy...

Vill's defense was atrocious on that...

Will be a disappointing result for Villarreal but it's good experience for Jozy to go 90 in such a setting.

Man, some of Dinamo's diagonal balls are ridiculous. They are no minnow. They are very unselfish and aware on the field, and that's why they win tonight. Not a bad place for Molano to develop.

To be fair they've been outclassed in midfield. No one getting him consistant touches. When they do, no one making a run to support him or open space. Just poor.

Rossi and Altidore seem to have the same problem now, when they do get the ball they force the issue and lose it on the dribble.

Rossi nearly found Jozy on the back post, corner coming up which came to nothing.

Much of their decision making has been suspect I agree...but again, their midfield is NOT doing them any favors.

Jozy played 1-on-1 with the GK over the top but is called offside.

I'm not sure about that call.

Villa really doesn't seem to like crossing the ball into the box...

It looked like he did a great job staying onside and timing that run, but my stream didn't show a replay and Jozy didn't seem to be too upset with the call.
