that's if he's starting in the next WC and what kinda money does Kljestan earn? Surely no more then 700 K right?
550 base, 687 guaranteed. Valdez is 1200 and 1445. So half of that is 600k and 723. Zusi is earning 700k base and 732 guaranteed. Bedoya should be making a bit more than those two. 900k is my estimate. That said, the Sounders don't really need Bedoya. They need more of a final pass guy.
thanks for posting. For some reason I figured Kljestan was earning a bit more than that. Like in the 700-750 range
Other players of similar age, position and salary. Javier Espinosa 800k Xavier Kouassi 840k Mix Diskerud 761k Antonio Nocerino 600k Barnetta Tranquilo 650k Maurice Edu 725k
It seems like Sounders gave Bedoya the minimum conceivable offer for a player of his quality. There in a nutshell is what sucks about the allocation list. A player on that list is stuck with one team and there is rarely a chance of getting past that team. At least with Discovery you pay 50k and then you can negotiate with the team that really wants you.
According to Garth Lagerway the Sounders never talked to Bedoya because there were 10 teams ahead in the allocation order. Bedoya likes to run his mouth.

A biggie from the @MLS world: League sources tell me the @PhilaUnion are in advanced talks to bring #USMNTer @AleBedoya17 back to the States— Marc Stein (@TheSteinLine) August 2, 2016
Here is some more info on the fee and salary from ESPN =================== http://www.espnfc.com/soccer-transf...inging-usmnts-alejandro-bedoya-to-mls-sources The Philadelphia Union are in advanced negotiations to bring U.S. national team midfielder Alejandro Bedoya home to Major League Soccer, sources told ESPN. The Union are aggressively trying to complete the acquisition of Bedoya from Nantes in France's Ligue 1 before the MLS transfer window shuts on Wednesday. Sources told ESPN FC that Bedoya's move will include a one million transfer fee and a salary between $750,000 to $850,000. Philadelphia sit No. 2 in MLS' current allocation order behind the Chicago Fire, but sources say they're working through the requisite compensation details to put themselves first in line to land Bedoya, who was born in nearby New Jersey.
Bedoya didn't play in last weekends friendly against Bilbao. There are whispers on the Nantes forum that his head may not be completely in France. The Canaris travel to Italy this week for their final friendly. Bedoya expected to make the trip. IF a move is possible or even eminent...
I do have to laugh at the fact that he was criticizing MLS and then the next week he ends up coming here for a salary that is 2/3rds of what Nelson Valdez currently makes.
Deal is done. League source tells me final transfer fee on Bedoya is $1M, & final salary # is $1M/year. #DOOP— Jeff Carlisle (@JeffreyCarlisle) August 3, 2016
Nothing wrong with that. Sometimes it is just time to come home and that is a pretty fair wage. And, if his contention is that Valdez is overpaid, I agree but that is Seattle's problem.
Same here. Jesus. Bedoya for a million a year? Good on him but do they believe he will get them any considerable press interest for this?
