Spanish federation to suspend all domestic competition over TV rights The Spanish football federation (RFEF) has decided to suspend indefinitely all domestic competition from 16 May over a spat with the government on issues including a new law on collective bargaining for television rights. Indefinite ban, including La Liga, comes into effect from 16 May, the penultimate week of the season. If the strike does takes place, the Copa del Rey final between Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao on May 30 will be affected, as well as the final two rounds of Primera Division action. Read more
If Barcelona wins tomorrow and the last two games don't get played, Barcelona will win La Liga, but that will be unfair to Real Madrid because Barcelona wouldn't have to play at Atletico Madrid. It would be strange if Barcelona and/or Real Madrid had no games in between the Champions League Semifinal second legs on May 12 and 13 and the Final, which is 24 days after May 13.
