Why? It's awesome. In either case, the argument is that if all things equal under GD, GF, and GA, this is the quickest way to determine the outcome.
On the plus side England's reserves are slightly better at losing than Belgium's reserves. And thank the heavens for the gift that is Batsman. Ledge.
So what do you all think about the following? Argies vs Frogs Biter vs Fake Ronaldo Vodka vs Sangria Joga Bonito vs Aztecs Zumba vs. FishnChips The other matches I'm not as excited about. I guess battles of the SWs could be interesting, but I pick Sweden. Belgium should beat Japan, Croats should beat the Danes.
Because there's nothing skillful or tactical about them. The shooter has about 75% chance of scoring and its all about the individuals - not the team, which is an aspect of the sport that is a major pro to me. I'd rather have a series of offense/defense type things than PKs to decide a game. Or just keep going until a winner is decided and add substitutions/bring back players who were subbed out. As for PKs during a match, the PK should be taken at the spot of the foul within the box. While you're asking me about rules, here are some more: * subs for head injuries don't count; to combat faking (which will be invented in CONCACAF, spread through Argentina and beyond); a neutral doctor has to be on site to make the call. * if a player is injured to point where medical staff are needed, the player must sit out 5 minutes for recovery. * recovered players must only be waved back on during play stoppage * post match fines (amount TBD but not less than 50,000 US) issued to all players who raise their hands above their waists to signal offsides to the ref during play. In addition, any player who speaks to the ref who is not the captain, will be issued a ban of 3 games.
Never going to survive this world cup. Will be the end of me at this rate.....wouldnt have it any other way
this France team is hard to analyze. every one expected them to either blow people away or struggle. instead they have been grinding, and winning with physicality. they certainly have the tools to win this tournament and maybe these grinding wins are showing they have more mettle than we thought. all while hardly looking like they've got out of second gear. basically you can't tell if they have another gear they just haven't got to? or they are just going to do what's needed to win in any game.
Lost a lot of respect for Mbappe today....I know he's only 19, so perhaps he'll learn, but that dramatic act today was despicable.
Courtios, that might be the best i've seen him play. i thought he had a fairly shaky season (could have been team oriented) but this game shows he truly can be one of the best in the world. hazard was excellent as well but Courtios was just outstanding.
Buzzing right now. Won't sleep for a while but who needs sleep when you're still in it! C'mon england!!
