thx but avoiding the need to hit my head repeatedly with a sledge hammer by listening to fox is what I am trying to avoid... I been watching Telemundo mostly, but one match i would prefer to see in proper English or any English that is not fox's version
I'm having the same frustration. Some of the commentary teams are ear bleedingly bad. For the Denmark game I even switched to tactical cam and actually loved it. Fixed camera position (with zoom) from high behind a goal wasn't as good as game cams but the audio was just crowd noise which was fantastic. A fellow expat recommended TV Mucho to me so I could listen to BBC/ITV broadcasts which would be better if not world class at all times. Not sure of pricing though but as it's just a month I may be tempted.
not looking promising worked ok pre-match, well picture was fuzzy and not so good, but not worked at all since the match started, a few seconds of jump and then minutes of buffering at least Derek Rae ok; no comment , if you can't say something nice, on color
By not looking good, I immediately assumed you were referring to the standard World Cup performance of the England team
Finally saw the England game...Man, did they make a work out of it. If only Sterling and Lingaard could shoot.
He has to start this weekend. He has to. Both he and Rashford genuinely make England so much better. I wasn't all that impressed with Alli although I though Lingard was really good along with Henderson.
they've played well, but keep in mind the opposition so far for them. though i do think they could do well against Uruguay as well, they didn't impress me in their first match as much, but they also missed some real chances.
there has been some real quality on display with some of the goals scored, and Modric just added to the list. just an incredible strike from outside the box.
and then Otamendi does Otamendi things. got a yellow for what should be an absolutely disgustingly clear red card from a kicking both the ball and player while down right in the head. i have NO idea how he hasn't seen a red for that.
the entire Croatian midfield just outclassed Argentina. rakitic was outstanding. and i wasn't aware brozovic was such an effective defensive midfielder. i also thought Rebic was quite effective and looked pretty good.
I've always wondered how small countries like Croatia, Belgium, Portugal....hell, Iceland recently, produce solid players and countries like Russia can't.
It always comes back to investment into youth football. Germany, Belgium, and Iceland all had major pushes and investment in the last 20 years. Something England has recently done and you see the success they've had at the youth level is absolutely unrivaled the last 3 years. The US has to do the same and smart people in the game in the US have mentioned as much. Needs to be a focus.
The way teams have lined up against Brazil has made for awful viewing... like.. I get it, I really do, but ********.. just stay home if you're going to park the bus on the world stage.
