Figured we probably need one. Discuss - who is your team, who do you want to win, who do you expect to win . None of the teams I support made it, so I'm cheering for Belgium. I'll try to support Russia as well, but heart not into it.
Since the US embarrassed themselves, I’m all in for Iceland. I was in Paris during their Euro 2016 run and got swept up. There is also a complicated personal history involving a 3-month late school project and a visit to the UN that I won’t get into. That said, I’ll also be pulling for England and France.
i'm all in on iceland train as well as far as who i'll be rooting for the most. however, i'm excited to see certain players and teams and how they play. France could be lightning in a bottle but also collapse, and i'm really intrigued to see what happens there. Germany i'm usually pretty favorable too because of family history and of the favorites, i'd probably prefer them. then of course the Belgium team and the players there would be nice to see do well. and then of course england and some of the younger players that have come in. in particular it will be interesting to see if RLC gets time and how he does.
blighty England and the winners will be plucky little England with RLC being the player of the tournament football eh? it is a delusional state of mind mostly
Hey folks, As I did 4 years ago, I'm doing a fantasy league ($20/person). If you're interested in joining, PM me.
US is out and I'm still bitter so idk if I'll watch (or at least as closely as I would have if we made it). I'm def not pulling for any team in particular but I'd like to see an upset over the top nations.
Got to love the absolute and total arrogance of Real Madrid - tapping up the manager of their national team right before a world cup resulting in his getting sacked. Can you imagine the vitriol of Spanish Barca fans right now?
LOL at Spanish Barca fans. Also, I won't shed a tear for anything Barca related. Lastly, what the actual ******** is the Spanish football federation thinking?
There was a fair amount of coverage on this a couple of months ago - related to the financial aspects of the bid. https://globalnews.ca/news/4086278/more-cities-follow-vancouver-out-the-door-on-fifa-bid/
Cheers, good info. A little disappointed Minneapolis didn't make the cut. Kansas City here I come....
