That would be nice. But they don't qualify.

Once you played for one country in a an internatiol you cannot play for any other country, regardless of your nationality.

There are some other players who do qualify who play for clubs in Holland though.

That I know, I remember a caribbean NT last year using Brutil Hose (formerly with Ajax) and Djuric Winklaar (formerly with Juve).
I know if you play for a full senior NT you can't play for another one.
Somebody just asked if there were any famous Surinam-born players.
The only way you could play for another NT team when you already have played for a 1st other one, is if you played for that 1st one at youth level (Tim Cahill played for American Samoa at u20 level before he pledged himself to Australia).

    Some famous Surinam born players?

Seedorf, Hasselbaink, Davids, Wooters(Dutch NT), Gullit, Castelen(Dutch NT, Feyenoord) Boogaarde, Melchiot(Chelsea).

Surinam origin (one or both parents from Surinam):

Rijkaard(son of a Surinamese soccer ace), Kluivert, Reiziger, Winter, Emanuelson (Dutch U-20 NT)

These are the ones I can think of.

Surinam has never been good at NT level.

At Club level we count 2 CONCACAF Club Chamionships and 1 CONCACAF Club Semi-Champion.

In Surinam as in most Latin American countries the emphasis is placed on dribbling (feinting) skills.

Transvaal used to be quite a respectable team in the Concacaf circles, no?

    Yes.

In the 70's and early 80's

    After independence in 1975.

A lot of people and talented players went to Holland and that was the end of the really good soccer clubs in Surinam.

Seedorf has built a training center in Surinam a few years ago and is teaching youngsters the beautiful game.

BTW there is no Pro league in Surinam.

    Where does Johnny Descollines play?
Now, before this generation of pretty good Haitians came to life (Jacques, Descollines, Peguero, Fucien, etc...): were there any Haitians playing abroad?
Any in Europe or maybe in North America (US/Canada)? I just recall the Baptiste guy (or were there two of them?)...
So was there anyone from previous generations (or the previous one, rather) that this group could have looked upto??
