May soon be no longer a YA: John Neeskens, son of Johan Neeskens, has a US passport. http://www.coloradorapids.com/news/2014/03/rapids-welcome-neeskens-and-piermayr-trial
Here's a new ex-YA (Moses, we already knew about) who was playing in French lower divisions: A fresh breeze of European air has arrived at the Orange County Blues FC as they officially sign U.S. born players Seth Moses and Fabrice Gautrat. Both Gautrat and Moses look forward to further developing their skills on U.S. soil as part of the Blues. ... Gautrat, 26, joins OC Blues FC after three seasons overseas in France where he played in Championnat de France amateur (CFA), for Marseille Consolat, and UJA Maccabi Paris Métropole in Championnat de France amateur. “I am a hard worker, and I understand that nothing comes easy in this world without hard work. I am very positive and I know how to turn negative or dire circumstances into positive ones.” Gautrat followed his dreams of playing professional soccer after his college experience at University of San Diego and The Master's College, where they were named to the 2009 All- Tournament team of NAIA. Gautrat’s experience at Masters College has been a stepping stone to his professional soccer career. “Fabrice came from our first tryout back in November”, says General Manager Jon Spencer, “He is left-footed and we feel he will be important at center back or left back. He is another player we are excited to sign. He is someone with a desire to see his career move forward.” http://uslpro.uslsoccer.com/home/797383.html
An opportunity for a player named Kristopher Espina who, it seems, decided to continue his education instead: A former semiprofessional player from Colombia who now lives in Ruskin, Jorge said his son’s ability was clear to see early on. “Even at a very young age, he was the only one who could see the whole field. He could see the whole game,” said Jorge, whose son also had an offer to tryout with a professional team in Germany. http://www.observernews.net/thiswee..._student_wins_college_soccer_scholarship.html
But while Piermayr is the first official signing, a legendary name in the global game could soon be in the fold as well. Just logging this, about Vlad Lekarev, a Ukranian-born '93 playing college ball in the States: Although he moved to the U.S. at a young age, soccer bridged the gap between the United States and the Ukraine. He goes back to his homeland from time to time to see his family and goes to BG to play soccer and further his education. He recently went back home last summer to play for European teams such as Dynamo Kiev FC and Vllaznia FC. Playing for those teams, specifically Dynamo Kiev, gave him new experiences in learning the difference between American and European soccer. Lekarev said it made him a better player and even got him named as one of the top players in America at that point. http://www.bgnews.com/sports/ukrain...cle_247ed07c-bf93-11e3-b9e5-0019bb2963f4.html His USSDA profile says he's a citizen and he's been called into U18 pools. Will be a junior at Bowling Green.

HARRODSBURG — Ayden Nocus of Mercer County was invited to youth soccer trials in Europe last fall and earned a chance to go back for spring trials recently. ... Still, even after being accepted there were some complications before Ayden, a sixth-grader at King Middle School, could go back to Europe. “There are international barriers due to his young age and not having Dutch citizenship that had to be addressed,” Shelly Nocus said. It's not clear (to me, anyway) what exactly is next -- if anything -- but there is more here: http://www.centralkynews.com/amnews...cle_81c1de2f-365c-5c0f-af9c-5fd440d64789.html

Last summer he visited El Salvador as a member of a U.S. beach soccer team. ... So I have two comments on this. 1.) We're tracking players in the Kreisklasse? That's very low and a bit ridiculous to me. 2.) I played in the Kreisklasse last year too! Do I get to be tracked?
Johannsson unavailable for AZ for 6 to 8 weeks due to ankle surgery. http://www.nusport.nl/eredivisie/3819722/az-zonder-johannsson-bij-start-competitie.html
1) If "tracking" means a single short post in a catch-all thread, then I guess so. Why not? 2) You do, since you've made your single short post in a catch-all thread. Enjoy the notoriety!
Updating for the heck of it, looks like Bajek will be a HS senior in the fall and is with the Philly Union academy now.
