Just logging, from a story about a new team in NYC:

The 23-year-old American midfielder Diego Soto, who played briefly for the El Salvadoran team Club Deportivo Aguila and had a trial with top Argentine team River Plate, told TOF, "Everyone is just waiting for things to unfold. This is a new club, and things are just settling down. It's going to be exciting.”

Hey! I recognize that name in there. I'm pretty sure 'Falvo' is a poster on here in Big Soccer!

    That right? You there, @falvo?

Victory Field is just a few blocks from where my mom grew up. Sounds like a good excuse to head out to Queens for a KFFC game and a drink at Neir's.

Chicago based club Bridges FC seems to be doing their annual summer tour of Scandinavia currently where they showcase a bunch of players in the hope that they will get signed (and often 2-3 seem to). This past week they lost 0-3 against Halmstad and 0-1 against Ljungskile, both swedish second tier Superettan clubs. I don't have the time to google them all to find out how many are american citizens but the local paper in Halmstad had this basic list on who was part of the Bridges FC squad:

Ryan Onwukwe, Juuso Kevari, Harold Agyeman-Prempeh, Brett Lane, Austin Gochneaur, Eric Schoendorf, Remone Gordon, Kyle KNotek, Wavier Gomez, Julio Castillo, Gerald Ben, Michael Kozielek, Ryan Sierakowski, Andrew Chang, Sean Baumann, Chris Ramirez, Patrick Seagrist, Kendall Stork, Devon Amoo-Mensah, Jason Lesch, Prince Lapnet, David Caban, Isaac Sutton, Ryan Totsch.

Melendez earned a NASL San Francisco training camp invite after an open tryout.
