I wonder if FIFA will consider relaxing their requirements for being on the international officials list sometime in the future as our world becomes more transient and people move more. I would have to think Faghani instantly becomes one of the top officials living in Australia based on merit, so it seems tough that he would come off the FIFA list because he moved.

I’d say the same thing if an official like Makkelie or Skomina moved to another European country.

So Australia lost Jarred Gillett but got Faghani in the same year. Interesting that he was in charge for Australia's biggest success in recent times, the Asian Cup win in 2015 over South Korea.

Faghani made his A-League debut on Friday, taking charge of Western Sydney Wanderers' 2-1 win over Central Coast Mariners.
