Ingolstadt with the win 3-1 playing with 10. Morales played the full 90. was involved in the 3rd goal when his close-range shot was blocked but his teammate was there for the score. Again, he played a more advanced position but because they were a man short he did a lot of defending. He is not a physical defender but he is a pest when defending. His one-touch passing was very good.

Watching his game, he is playing way up like he was a 10. Early in the game he had a header that went to the keeper. He is having a solid game. Game is 1-1 so far.
Subbed out in the 58th: (58') Heikle Phase, in der beide Teams nicht den entscheidenden Fehler machen wollen. #Christiansen kommt für @alfredo1008!__1:1 #FCNFCI— FC Ingolstadt 04 (@Schanzer) November 6, 2017

Is it Morales who looked average when playing for the USMNT or the below average coaching and management? I kid. It was great to see him score a goal!

Klinsmann tried, and tried, and tried with Morales. It never clicked getting him involved. After cutting him from the 2015 Gold Cup team after the group stages, Klinsmann said of Morales: "There are certain things that just don’t click yet," That is quite a statement given that Morales was called up repeatedly from 2011 thru 2015 and he still couldn't get it to work. The next coach will have two options. 1) Keep trying with Morales who is not in the Bundesliga anymore. 2) Or look at the new group of young No 6 & No 8 central midfielders - which is the deepest position among the next generation: I agree there will and should be a few players 30+ on the next WC roster. But even then, how does Morales compare with a guy like Danny Williams? I like Alfredo but he just never fit in. That bound to happen. Friendlies and camps are a scarce resource. If the next coach believes that it is far more worth the team's time to work with the numerous other young CMs as opposed to Morales, I don't think you can blame him.
well put...but JK and Arena's efforts shouldnt be used against a player. (especially, in this case, considering how married both were to certain players that played the same position as morales) I think EVERYONE should be re-evaluated by a (hopefully competent) new coach..... to me, the USMNT has never had a great coach (who would clearly evaluate (and use) players differently than JK or Arena or BOB etc did)....so, in that case, a player like Morales would still be worth a look under a new coach, imo.
It really depends on where the new coach sees him as his best position. If he is tried again as a WDM then is never going to "click", if he is tried as an ACM then he may have a chance but now we are getting in Pulisic territory.
Alfredo subbed out after 68 minutes: (68') #Leitl reagiert auf das #Tor der Gäste: @py_soccer und #Leipertz kommen für #Pledl und den auffälligen @alfredo1008. Noch gut 20 Minuten!__0:1 #FCIEBS— FC Ingolstadt 04 (@Schanzer) December 4, 2017

Klinsmann tried and tried and tried to play him with Michael Bradley. Then he tried with Bedoya. Then the he tried with Edu. Then he tried with Cameron. Then he tried with Dreds. Then he tried with Jones whom, thanks to Doyle we know was a big mistake as well. Corona was played in there as well. El gringo Torres? yup. DWill? You guessed it. Did we throw the Kitchen sink into it? Yes, maybe. So many failed duets. They just couldn't harmonize with our Streisand. Seems to be a lot of duets have been tried, but they all seemed to fail until no duets were tried and that ended in complete success! That's why he failed. That's why all of the above failed.

He won't be. The only fall-spring league with a long enough winter break to render players available for January camp is Denmark.
Sweden is a spring-fall league (like MLS and Norway), so they clearly count. Among fall-spring leagues, only Denmark has an enormous winter break. *Germany counts if you manage to get a gigantic suspension, like Jermaine Jones did in the 2011-12 season.
