Looks like his little trip with the NT got him noticed. Ibarbo's team in Italy now wants him or Danilson Cordoba.

I was looking up news on Cordoba who has some Italian admires and found this from today. It's crunch time as they one have 2 days for a medical and to sign him.

Cagliari could be the new Udinese if they get both Mejia and Cordoba.

As a Nacional fan, I don't want to see our captain leave, but as a NT fan and since I love this warrior, he deserves to play in Europe and the Serie A can be perfect for him. I hope he'll join Roma, although Udinese would be OK as well.

Udinese, Granada and Watford are owned by the same family the Pozzos. There has been word of Udinese buying him and sending him here to Watford. The second division here is very competitive and the fourth biggest league in Europe. And a team like us are looking for promotion to the PL and have assembled a very strong squad.

It probably would be better for a player like him to develop in Spain but he would be more than welcome here as well.

Attendance. And the salaries on offer are bigger than in most of the other leagues.

Thats great but a team that got screwed out of the WC semi final and a team that wants to win the Copa America next year isn't going to want a 2nd division DM. I seen the EPL and it is utter shit. No thanks on sending him to its 2nd division !! EPL is all sprinting and Media hype. Guy is 26 he can't afford 1-2 season to get use to a new league. He needs to go to Spain, Italy or Portugal.

I would agree. It's not a bad division to develop defenders and defensive midfielders though. But it screw up creative midfielders and forwards. It is mostly about power and pace. Look what it did to Tevez . So don't send any of your midfielders or forwards here. ;)

I'd like to see him in a league like France or Spain because they are more tactically savvy than the Colombian league yet they still believe in tecnical football. That and there are many talented players in those leagues. Those leagues still believe in d mids and not new age box to box.

I dont want Mejia to be converted from a d mid that is good with the ball (reason why imo Mejia>Sanchez) to a turnover causing box to box or center mid that the voach has told to guide the offense ala whats happened to Gaurin and Michael Bradley.

I'd love to see Mejia in a team like Borussia or Atlético Madrid or Marsielle, only cuz I think thise teams have great coaches that harp on work rate on the field.

But EPL is a difficult league to play in because even at 0-8 teams dont lose fight and still play hard. Look at Man U they were winning and looked good and lost 1-5 or something like that a couple of weeks ago.

In EPL I'd only be happy if he went to Man U or Arsenal. They both could use him and Falcao is at Man U and Gaal is a great coach. Wenger is good too and they play Champions si they pkay a lot of matches and you would think with so many maatches no way he would always be on the bench even if he wasn't a favorite furst 11 guy, he will have chance to play abd against very good talent.
